Cnidarians from the Gulf of Mexico and Mexican Caribbean at the "Colección de Cnidarios del Golfo de México y Caribe Mexicano" at the UMDI-Sisal, Facultad de Ciencias, UNAM, México

<p>The dataset contains information of specimens at the Collection&nbsp; &quot;Cnidarios del Golfo de M&eacute;xico y mar Caribe&quot; (federal register YUC-CC-254-11) at the UMDI-Sisal, Facultad de Ciencias, UNAM, M&eacute;xico. This dataset represents only specimens identified to genus and species (1308 specimens) from 72 localities in coastal lagoons and coral reefs at the Gulf of Mexico and the Mexican Caribbean from a period of time from 2008 to 2017. The specimens at the collection have been either identified or validated by professional cnidarian taxonomists, providing a significant level of trust in the data. The taxonomists that participated in this process appear in the list of authors.&nbsp;</p>

This dataset represents only specimens identified to genus and species (3951 specimens)&nbsp; from localities at the coast, depth sea, and coral reefs at the Gulf of Mexico and Mexican Caribbean for a period of time from 1976&nbsp; to 2020.&nbsp; The specimens at the collection have been either identified or validated by professional crustacean taxonomists, providing a significant level of trust in the data. The taxonomists that participated in this process appear in the list of authors.</p>
