The LSST Dark Energy Science Collaboration (DESC) Science Requirements Document v1 Released Data Products
<p>This tarball includes software and data products associated with the DESC Science Requirements Document (SRD) v1. See the "Executive Summary and User Guide" in the enclosed PDF of the DESC SRD for instructions on how to use and cite those products. The DESC SRD is described on <a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1809.01669">arXiv</a> as follows:</p> <p>The Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) Dark Energy Science Collaboration (DESC) will use five cosmological probes: galaxy clusters, large scale structure, supernovae, strong lensing, and weak lensing. The Science Requirements Document (SRD) quantifies the expected dark energy constraining power of these probes individually and together, with conservative assumptions about analysis methodology and follow-up observational resources based on our current understanding and the expected evolution within the field in the coming years. We then define requirements on analysis pipelines that will enable us to achieve our goal of carrying out a dark energy analysis consistent with the Dark Energy Task Force definition of a Stage IV dark energy experiment.</p>

<p>This dataset contains research data and software (re)use indications (formal citations, informal mentions) in scholarly works related to High Energy Physics. 1,411 research and software indications were identified by a mix of approaches: use of citation discovery services and multiple search approaches in Google Scholar. The dataset contains indications by what approach the (re)use indications were found. All identified research data and software (re)use indications were classified according to their purpose, location, and elements.</p> <p>The data was collected in 2018 for a PhD thesis on research data and software (re)use indications in scholarly works.</p>
Identification of Research Data and Software (re)Use Indications in High Energy Physics related Scholarly Works (1951 - 2018)
<p>This dataset contains research data and software (re)use indications in High Energy Physics related scholarly works. A minimal random sample of scholarly works that contain highly processed research data was taken from HEPData and manually read for research data and software (re)use indications. The sample contains 368 works, which were published between 1951 and 2018.</p> <p>The data was collected in 2019 for a PhD thesis on research data and software (re)use indications in scholarly works.</p>

The R package enerscape: A general energy landscape framework for terrestrial movement ecology
<ol> <li> <p class="western"><span>Ecological processes and biodiversity patterns are strongly affected by how animals move through the landscape. However, it remains challenging to predict animal movement and space use. Here we present our new R package <i>enerscape</i> to quantify and predict animal movement in real landscapes based on energy expenditure. </span></p> </li> <li> <p class="western"><span><i>Enerscape</i> integrates a general locomotory model for terrestrial animals with GIS tools in order to map energy costs of movement in a given environment, resulting in energy landscapes that reflect how energy expenditures may shape habitat use. <i>Enerscape</i> only requires topographic data (elevation) and the body mass of the studied animal. To illustrate the potential of <i>enerscape</i>, we analyze the energy landscape for the Marsican bear (<i>Ursus arctos marsicanus</i>) in a protected area in central Italy in order to identify least-cost paths and high-connectivity areas with low energy costs of travel.</span></p> </li> <li> <p class="western"><span><i>Enerscape</i> allowed us to identify travel routes for the bear that minimize energy costs of movement and regions that have high landscape connectivity based on movement efficiency, highlighting potential corridors. It also identifies areas where high energy costs may prevent movement and dispersal, potentially exacerbating human-wildlife conflicts in the park. A major strength of <i>enerscape</i> is that it requires only widely available topographic and body size data. As such, <i>enerscape</i> permits a first cost-effective way to estimate landscape use and movement corridors even when telemetry data is not readily available, such as for the example with the bear. </span></p> </li> <li> <p class="western"><span><i>Enerscape</i> is built in a modular way and other movement modes and ecosystem types can be implemented when appropriate locomotory models are available. In summary, <i>enerscape</i> is a new general tool that quantifies, using minimal and widely available data, the energy costs of moving through a landscape. This can clarify how and why animals move in real landscapes and inform practical conservation and restoration decisions.</span></p> </li> </ol>
The Solvation Energy DataSet for Machince Learning Model--MolSolv
<p>Fast and accurate calculation of small molecular solvation energy is essential in computer-aided drug discovery. In this study, we calculated a large amount of solvation energy dataset (~1.7 million compounds) by the SMD model (M062X/6-31G*) in Gaussian 16 software. The pre-trained model is released on GitHub (https://github.com/Xundrug/MolSolv).</p>

Evolutionary responses of energy metabolism, development, and reproduction to artificial selection for increasing heat tolerance in Drosophila subobscura
<p><span>Adaptation to warming conditions involves increased heat tolerance and metabolic changes to reduce maintenance costs and maximize biological functions close to fitness. Evidence shows that energy metabolism evolves in response to warming conditions, but we know little about how heat stress intensity determines the evolutionary responses of metabolism and life history traits. Here, we evaluated the evolutionary responses of energy metabolism and life-history traits to artificial selection for increasing heat tolerance in Drosophila subobscura, using two protocols to measure and select heat tolerance: slow and fast ramping protocols. We found that the increase in heat tolerance was associated with reduced activity of the enzymes involved in the glucose-6-phosphate branchpoint, but no changes in the metabolic rate in selected lines. We also found that the evolution of increased heat tolerance increased the early fecundity in selected lines and increased the egg-to-adult viability only in the slow-ramping selected lines. This work shows heat tolerance can evolve under different thermal scenarios but with different evolutionary outcomes on associated traits depending on the heat stress intensity. Therefore, spatial and temporal variability of thermal stress intensity should be taken into account to understand and predict the adaptive response to ongoing and future climatic conditions.</span></p>

The dataset was modified to include 6 photovoltaic generation, 3 energy storage system and time-changing demand load nodes.</p>
