Link to dataset related to article "DNA Methylation Signature in Monozygotic Twins Discordant for Psoriatic Disease"
<p>The record contains raw data related to the article "DNA Methylation Signature in Monozygotic Twins Discordant for Psoriatic Disease".</p> <p><strong>Background:</strong> Psoriatic disease is a multifactorial inflammatory condition spanning from skin and nail psoriasis (Pso) to spine and joint involvement characterizing psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Monozygotic twins provide a model to investigate genetic, early life environmental exposure and stochastic influences to complex diseases, mainly mediated by epigenetics. <strong>Methods:</strong> We performed a genome-wide DNA methylation study on whole blood of monozygotic twins from 7 pairs discordant for Pso/PsA using the Infinium Methylation EPIC array (Illumina). MeDiP-qPCR was used to confirm specific signals. Data were replicated in an independent cohort of seven patients with Pso/PsA and 3 healthy controls. Transcriptomic profiling was performed by RNAsequence on the same 7 monozygotic twin pairs. <strong>Results:</strong> We identified 2,564 differentially methylated positions between psoriatic disease and controls, corresponding to 1,703 genes, 59% within gene bodies. There were 19 regions with at least two DMPs within 1 kb of distance and significant within-pair Δ<em>β</em>-values (<em>p</em> < 0.005), among them SNX25, BRG1 and SMAD3 genes, all involved in TGF-β signaling pathway, were identified. Co-expression analyses on transcriptome data identified IL-6/JAK/STAT3 and TNF-α pathways as important signaling axes involved in the disease, and they also suggested an altered glucose metabolism in patients' immune cells, characteristic of pro-inflammatory T lymphocytes. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The study suggests the presence of an epigenetic signature in affected individuals, pointing to genes involved in immunological and inflammatory responses. This result is also supported by transcriptome data, that altogether suggest a higher activation state of the immune system, that could promote the disease status.</p>
dTwin4SkullShapes: a Digital Twin Dataset of Human Skull Shapes for Skull Missing Vs. Existing Part Learning and Prediction
<p>This dataset include the total of 757 human skulls reconstructed from computed tomography (CT) image sets. The CT image sets were constructed from the three main databases: (1) The Cancer Imaging Archive (DOI: 10.7937/TCIA.HMQ8-J677), (2) The New Mexico Decedent CT Images (DOI: 10.1055/s-0041-1730999), and (3) The MGU500+ (DOI: 10.1016/j.dib.2021.107524). The selected skull image sets have normal and full skull structures. We employed the voxelization technique to reconstruct skull meshes from CT image slices of each subject. The skull meshes were stored in *.off files. For each skull mesh, we estimated the skull shape by estimating the alpha shape of the skull meshes and stored in *.off files. The feature points on the skulls were also manually picked and stored in *.csv files with the form of 16x3 matrices, in which 16 is the number of feature points. A template skull shape was also deformed to the skull shapes of all subjects and stored in *.off files. The deformed skull shapes have unified skull feature points throughout all subjects. Moreover, we also added the source codes of the project. The details of the dataset were presented in the ReadMe.txt file. More details of how to use the source code project and the dataset were presented in the dTwin4SkullShapeTutorials.pdf file.</p>

TWINS-1 Ephemeris, Definitive Spacecraft Attitude, PT0.512S Data
Two Wide-angle Imaging Neutral-atom Spectrometers 1, TWINS 1, Spacecraft Attitude data, Earth Centered Inertial, ECI, coordinates. This TWINS data set contains spacecraft attitude data as polar and azimuthal instrument pointing vectors. The polar vector points along the TWINS rotation axis. The azimuthal vector lies in the plane normal to the polar vector and points toward the central scanning position, which is defined as the zero-point location. Such pointing is derived from both the spacecraft attitude history, SAH, file and the sensor mounting orientation. The computation employed is designed to achieve a pointing accuracy of 0.5°. Any deviation from this accuracy level is indicated in the header record metadata.
TWINS 2 Neutral-atom L1 Images and Movies
TWINS 1 neutral-atom spectrometer level-1 magnetospheric images and image movies at full (9 energy steps and 15 minute) resolution. Images have been smoothed using a technique that provides approximately uniform statistics across the image. Each image has 4x4 degree angular resolution and includes 15 minutes of data. These images are derived on the ground from direct events measurements of the time of flight and detection location on the anode for individual ENAs. Each image has 4x4 degree angular resolution and includes 15 minutes of data. The first dimension of the image represents the scan angle in instrument coordinates. In this system the azimuthal attitude vector points to +90 degree scan angle. The second is the imaged angle, where 90 degrees is the central viewing angle of the instrument and the direction of the polar attitude vector.
