Estonian National Bibliography - graphic material

A subset of graphical works from the Estonian national bibliography. The Estonian national bibliography (Eesti rahvusbibliograafia - ERB) covers publications in all languages in Estonia and abroad, regardless of the medium and date of publication. The database of the national bibliography is constantly updated with newly published works. A separate part of the national bibliography is the Estonica collection, which includes both publications in foreign languages by Estonian authors and publications about Estonia and Estonians published abroad. The database is managed by the National Library of Estonia, which manages the Estonian national bibliography in accordance with the relevant laws. Graphic representation of data set for the project "IRI model performance evaluation for the Mexican region"

<p>Here, we illustrate the modeling and experimental results for vertical Total Electron Content (TEC) over Mexico during the five year period 2018-2022. The results were obtained for the UCOE GNSS receiver station (geographic coordinates: 19.6&deg;N; 101.68&deg;W ). The calculations were made each two hours during the whole period under considerations. The modeling results were obtained using the &quot;International Reference Ionosphere (IRI)&quot; model, which is an empirical climatological model based on ground and space observations of the ionosphere [Bilitza et al., 2022].</p>

"I'm something of an untrained, unofficial cultural anthropologist myself. Ihave a business interviewing people to capture their personal histories. I'm always interested how people fit into their world and how they affect their world. I'm a graphic designer who works in the same building as the printing presses that I recorded. Iwalk past the presses every day on my way to talk to the folks in the prepress department. I'm on friendly but not drinking terms with the pressmen. I'm a friend with the prepress manager. Three Heidelberg presses are installed side by side in an open warehouse-like room. The presses are about twenty feet long and about five feet high. With their series of four humps or mounds where each printing cylinder is located, the presses remind one of giant, gray, mechanical caterpillars. Each press has a cyan cylinder, a magenta cylinder, a yellow cylinder and a black cylinder – so the humps are brightly colored. The presses are well lit by banks of fluorescent lights hanging from the ceiling over each press. When you walk into the press room you hear the sound of rock music blaring from a boom box radio mixed with the general din of the presses. It is only when you walk up to a press like Idid for the recordings that you really start to hear the individual strains of clicking, clacking and mechanical, syncopated chattering. When I made my recordings I was intrigued by the subtle variations in the sounds produced by these machines that aren't apparent when you first walk through the door. The pressmen were kind enough to allow me to walk right up to the presses and poke my microphone quite close to the rotating press cylinders. Iuse a Danish Pro Audio microphone about the size of a pencil eraser. An extremely sensitive mic with the capacity for capturing loud sounds such as the presses up close. Rotating the mic to one side or the other focused on the unique sounds coming from one cylinder or the other." [Kevin/KMerrell]18 in Collecting Sounds. <p>The Centre for SMART at Loughborough University&nbsp;collaborated with the Internet of Food Things&nbsp;Network Plus to host an event that targeted&nbsp;players in the food manufacturing industry, as well as policy makers, and aimed&nbsp;to provide attendees with the opportunity to learn from companies and technology providers on best practices to successfully implement current digital technologies in food manufacturing and to discuss policy and regulatory challenges to the uptake of such technologies within the UK Food Sector.</p> <p>A full report will be available later, but this drawing was produced by Becky James from Natalka Design who was commissioned to capture the complexity of the presentations and discussions that took place at the event.</p> <p>We therefore acknowledge the contribution that all attendees at the event made to this illustration.</p>

New Zealand native forest plant cover data for Popovic et al. MEE (2019), Untangling direct species associations from indirect mediator species effects with graphical models.

<p>Forest cover measurements were collected at 1246 native forest sites that form part of a network of permanent 20 x 20 m plots spread throughout New Zealand. A total of 1831 plant species were present in these plots, with the most common being herbs, graminoids, ferns, shrubs and trees. Plant cover (in ordinal categories) was assessed for each species in several tiers at different heights. The cover data we analysed (<em>NZ_native_forest_cover.csv)&nbsp;</em>were the maximum cover recorded over all the tiers at the 964 sites&nbsp;identified as native forests, containing 1311 species with at least one presence.&nbsp;<em>NZ_native_forest_species.csv</em> contains species data&nbsp;including&nbsp;species name, exotic/native,&nbsp;and plant type (tree, shrub, etc.), corresponding to the plant species in the columns of <em>NZ_native_forest_cover.csv</em>.</p> <p>We acknowledge the use of data drawn from the Natural Forest plot data collected between January 2002 and March 2007 by the LUCAS programme for the Ministry for the Environment, New Zealand.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
