Site-specific Design Load Cases for floating offshore wind turbine applications I : Historical data

<p>This document&nbsp;includes a brief description of the <a href="https://leopard.tu-braunschweig.de/receive/dbbs_mods_00077703" target="_blank" rel="noopener">first database</a> on the site-specific Design Load Cases (DLCs) based on historical metocean data. The dataset includes metocean data, statistical analysis and site-specific DLCs across the three areas of study defined in the INF4INiTY project: Scottish Sea, Baltic Sea and Adriatic Sea. In addition to the dataset, this deliverable includes a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the analysis of specific locations within these three areas and the generation of the site-specific DLCs.<br>The aim of this initial version of the database is to provide a first characterisation of the areas of interest in order to use the DLCs on the design of the different innovations planned in various work packages (WPs) INF4INiTY. As the project proceeds, the second database will extend the site-specific DLCs including forecasted data for different horizons and under diverse climate change scenarios.<br>The deliverable is divided into six brief sections describing the (i) the GUI, (ii) characteristics of the data, (iii) the three areas of study and technological requirements, (iv) historical metocean data, (v) site-specific statistical analysis and reporting, and (vi) site-specific DLCs.</p>

HYGROTHERMAL PROPERTIES OF HISTORIC BRICKS FROM VARIOUS SITES OF LATVIA

<p>There are available hygrothermal simulation tools that allow to model possible scenarios for optimization of thermal transmittance of historic wall, creating complex insulation systems. The accuracy of the results depends on the conformity of the input data to the specific design of existing wall. The properties of materials selected in the simulation tool should reflect as close as possible the properties of the wall under investigation. For theses tools to be widely applicable the material library has to include various materials from various regions, thus allowing architects, planners, real estate developers and homeowners of Latvia to use the simulation tool with greater reliance on the accuracy of the simulation results. In order to obtain a result in mathematical modelling software simulating the humidity transfer processes, which would reflect the situation as close to the real conditions as possible, the database built into the modelling software should be supplemented with materials specific to the Latvian construction periods and obtained in different locations. Dataset Contains hygrothermal parameters of 40 different historic brick samples from Latvia (Density, Porosity, Water vapor resistance factor, etc.). Standard measurement methods with some adjustments were used to determine hygrothermal parameters of brick samples. The material properties were determined for a specific reason, to be used as a input data for creation of hygrothermal simulation tool material file, in this case DELPHIN simulation tool. Therefore, some deviations from the testing standards were implemented. These deviation were developed by Dresden University of Technology (also the developers of DELPHIN simulation tool) and are described in file &quot;description.docx&quot;.</p>

Steamboat Boiler at Prospect Bluff Historic Site

This boiler from the steamboat Irvington, which sank in 1838, currently rests at the Prospect Bluff Historic Site. The site is home the remains of a fort built by the British in 1815 and was occupied by a fugitive slave community for several years before the U.S. Army used it as a fort due to its strategic importance. The EMSx dataset: historical photovoltaic and load scenarios and forecasts for 70 industrial sites

<p>The EMSx dataset gathers a large collection of photovoltaic and load profiles collected by the company Schneider Electric on 70 anonymized industrial sites. This dataset is released as a component of the EMSx benchmark for energy management systems introduced in a sister publication DOI: <a href="https://doi.org/10.1007/s12667-020-00417-5"> 10.1007/s12667-020-00417-5 </a>. Please refer to this related journal article for a detailed description of the dataset and if mentioning the EMSx dataset in your work.</p> <p>This dataset contains compressed files with a site ID ranging from 1 to 70. For these files, each line represents a timestep, gathering historical photovoltaic energy production and energy consumption data over the last 15 minutes, together with historical forecasts computed by Schneider Electric. The column naming follows the rules:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li><code>load_XX</code>&nbsp;in kWh: For XX from 00 to 95, a forecast for the consumption where each subsequent value is 15 minutes later.&nbsp;<code>load_00</code>&nbsp;is a forecast for the load in the next 15 minutes. These values are forecasts, and so will not exactly match the actual consumption at that timestep.</li> </ul> <ul> <li><code>pv_XX</code>&nbsp;in kWh: For XX from 00 to 95, a forecast for the pv produced on site where each subsequent value is 15 minutes later.&nbsp;<code>pv_00</code>&nbsp;is a forecast for the pv production during the next 15 minutes. These values are forecasts, and so will not exactly match the actual_pv at that timestep.</li> </ul> <p>Besides files per sites, one file contains the unique historical photovoltaic production profile and forecasts employed in the data of all sites, after being rescaled appropriately. In this file, we have rescaled power values to [0,1] so that this data&nbsp; can serve the modeling of a photovoltaic unit beyond the scope of the EMSx benchmark. Finally, this dataset contains a metadata file providing battery storage capacities in kWh, battery flow capacities for 15 minutes in kWh, and battery efficiency coefficients, designed for the EMSx benchmark.</p> <p>This dataset contains information from Schneider&#39;s <a href="https://shop.exchange.se.com/en-US/apps/52535/microgrid-energy-management-benchmark">Microgrid Energy Management Benchmark</a>, which is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL).</p>
