Weightlifting injuries in master athletes
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Data collection:</strong> A total of 976 Masters weightlifters from Australia, Canada, Europe, and the USA, ages 35 to 88 (51.1% female), completed an online survey in June 2021 that included questions on weightlifting injuries, chronic diseases, sport history, and training practices. </p> <p class="MsoNormal"> </p> <p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Definition of injuries:</strong> <span>Injuries were defined in relation to participation to weightlifting, namely whether training restriction occurred due to acute injuries sustained during weightlifting.</span><span> The correspoding srurvey question was </span><span>"</span><em>Have you ever had training restrictions due to acute injuries sustained during or while performing weightlifting?" </em></p> <p class="MsoNormal"> </p> <p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Purpose of the data collection:</strong></p> <p class="MsoNormal">To quantify acute injuries sustained during weightlifting that result in training restrictions and identify potential risk factors or preventative factors in Master athletes. To evaluate potentially complex interactions of age, sex, health-related, and training-related predictors of injuries with machine learning algorithms. Ensembles of machine learning algorithms (<span>support vector machines, generalized boosted methods, random forests, one-layer neural network, and naïve Bayesian methods) were used for classification and prediction and compared to logistic regression models.</span></p>

The columns indicate if the advantages (A) or disadvantages (D) are present or not.</p> <p>Lastly, the `rq6_*` files present a similar structure, with themes defined while performing a thematic analysis for qualitative research questions.</p>

<p>This is the 2D cell instance segmentation dataset of master thesis "Enhancing Cell Instance Segmentation in 3D Microscopy using Self-Supervised ViTs". The data is originally from the BBBC038 dataset for the Kaggle 2018 Data Science Bowl. We keep the images with annotations and the final dataset comprises 670 images in the training set and 171 images in the test set. We also converted the dataset to MSCOCO format for convenience.</p>

<p>This is the 3D cell instance segmentation dataset of master thesis "Enhancing Cell Instance Segmentation in 3D Microscopy using Self-Supervised ViTs". The data is originally from the BBBC027 dataset comprising 30 sets of 3D image sets with high SNR level of quality. Because only the 4 to 100 slides of every 3D image set are annotated and the main difference between annotated and unannoated slides are the brightness, to avoiding misunderstanding by the algorithms, we removed the unannotated slides and separate every slide as individual images. We also converted the dataset to MSCOCO format for convenience.</p>

Gamification of Student Development Projects in Software Engineering Education - Master's Thesis Dataset
<p>This dataset contains all questionnaire results of the Master's Thesis <em>Gamification of Student Development Projects in Software Engineering Education</em>. The thesis will be linked to this set as soon as it is completed and publically available.</p> <p>In total, five questionnaires were conducted. To analyze users and requirements, a questionnaire with students and project supervisors was conducted. The implemented tool was evaluated using a pre-, mid-, and post-study questionnaire. This dataset contains a folder for each questionnaire including results in CSV format, results in HTML format, which is more human readable, and the questionnaire in PDF format. Due to the used survey tool, <em>lamapoll</em>, some parts of the files are in German. However, the questions and responses are all in English.</p> <p>Additionally, the scripts folder contains the Python scripts that were used to produce the graphics of the thesis. The Python libraries <code>matplotlib</code>, <code>pandas</code>, <code>scipy</code>, <code>numpy</code>, and <code>plot_likert</code> are required to run the scripts. Some of them use the two provided files <code>evalutation_concat_raw_excel.csv</code>, which is a concatenation of the results of the three evaluation questionnaires, and <code>sprint_stats.csv</code>, which contains statistics of the sprints relevant to the user study.</p>

UKRR Project Data Master List
<p>This is the main data output of the UKRR project. The data was extracted using the LARCH database on 29th March 2019. It includes everything submitted by all libraries during Phases 2 and 3, but only some data from Phase 1. Phase 1 did not use the LARCH system, and <em>some </em>of the Phase 1 submissions were retrospectively added, but others were not. As far as records show, of the Phase 1 contributors, this dataset includes: </p> <p>All the Phase 1 contributions from Liverpool, Newcastle and St Andrews.</p> <p>Some of the Phase 1 contributions from Birmingham and Southampton. </p> <p>None of the data from Cardiff, Exeter and Imperial.</p> <p>The dataset includes information on journal title changes and cataloguing inconsistencies (all of which are listed in column B), grouping them together and assigning a BL Overlap number (column A), and giving all relevant International Standard Serial Numbers (ISSNs) in Column C. Column D is the number of different titles under which a specific journal was offered. Column E shows the number of times material from that journal was offered. Column F shows the libraries that offered the material, as well as the number of times each library offered it. </p> <p>All UKRR participant libraries agreed to release the data without anonymisation in the interests of openness and to allow greater scope for future analysis. </p>

The MET-Pottery–Master Report
<p>The 'MET-Pottery–Master Report' is part of the PhD thesis submitted by C. Heitz at the University of Bern in 2018 and was coded by M. Hinz. The associated dataset was compiled within the SNSF project No 100011_156205 ‘Mobilities, Entanglements and Transformations in Neolithic Societies of the Swiss Plateau (3900-3500 BC)’, short ‘MET-project’, conducted at the Institute of Archaeological Sciences, University of Bern between 2014 and 2018 (<a href="https://data.snf.ch/grants/grant/156205">https://data.snf.ch/grants/grant/156205</a>; <a href="https://boris.unibe.ch/77649/">https://boris.unibe.ch/77649/</a>).</p> <p>It represents the largest and temporally most highly resolved collection of morphological pottery data of the Central European Neolithic. It offers data of 1046 ceramic vessels of different styles that originate out of 44 archaeological features of wetland and dryland sites of the northern Alpine Space and adjacent regions. Most of the archaeological contexts – anthropogenic layers of settlements, pits, and ditches – are typology-independent dated using dendrochronology or C14-dates. The data set includes a spreadsheet of nominal and numeric morphological variables, the collection of the vessels’ semi-profile silhouettes and the typological drawings from which all data was collected. In the scope of the MET-project ‘the data was used to elaborate a new mixed method research (MMR) methodology to investigate social relations beyond problematic concepts of homogeneous ‘archaeological cultures’. It is highly relevant for further methodological morphology-based research on pottery.</p>
Proof of Concept database with inputs and outputs of the Master thesis: Analyzing Software Delivery Performance behavior in popular Open Source Software Projects on a Release timeline basis through delivery metrics
<p>The software has become one of the main assets to deliver services today. Thus, software delivery has been dealing with a competitive and dynamic environment where the demand for faster and more assertive deliverables, called here Releases, only increases. Agile development methods emerged helping to accelerate software delivery, embracing industry and open source community. Since then, the software delivery frequency has expanded and improved bringing more adopters of rapid release cycles to reduce their time-to-market. However, using only rapid releases can not be enough as measuring software delivery can answer essential questions, like how software delivery is happening and how it should be. Some approaches for measuring software delivery appeared such as Software Delivery Performance (SDP) where software delivery is measured as a consequence of capabilities evolution. Popularity in Open Source Software Projects (OSSP) means that a project is mature enough in the community to fit the software demand and, therefore, is likely to be ready to be measured through a software delivery approach like SDP. In light of it, this work offers means to analyze SDP behavior in popular Open Source Software Projects on a Release timeline basis through delivery metrics. The results demonstrated that popularity is efficient filtering, as it improves the OSSP delivery, supporting the work's reliability and accuracy. The source code and methodology are published as a replication package to encourage reproducibility and future research.</p>
