Sixth Earl of Plymouth monument
This is a model of the sixth Earl of Plymouth monument, off Monument Lane in the village of Lickey, south of Birmingham in the UK. According to the Lickey Community Group the monument was built in 1834 and is made of Anglesey marble. They also say that it is Grade II Listed and was restored, cleaned and re-dedicated in 1995. St Mary Magdalen Church Yards - Monument Rev 2
Went and reshot the monument using 4k video on the iPhone 11 Pro Max again seeing as it was nice and overcast today. Exported 1 frame every second and this time got 285 images out. This amazing, intricately detailed terracotta monument stands on the grounds of Bothwell Parish Church, in the outskirts of Glasgow, Scotland. All for sides decorated with framed mosaic panels, on the west side with portriture of the poetess herself. Unfortunatelly the over 120 years old monument is slowly failing, many of the terracotta and mosaic pieces are now displaced and urgent attention and care is required to prevent it from collapsing completely. This is an experiment to test CloudCompare software by comparing the [2016 version](https://sketchfab.com/models/8e753b01f9594236bc2840f53c5d10e1) of this monument to the [2017 version](https://sketchfab.com/models/7a678d7bc8af477489c1ed287d9ac1ad) after the stone slab was knocked over and reset. Since the stone was reset slightly differently than before, two different comparisons were necessary. The model is of the 2016 version, the colors represent how the 2017 version has changed. Stalin monument model - Otakar Svec
El Monumento a Stalin era una enorme estatua de granito en homenaje a Iósif Stalin que se inauguró en 1955, tras más de cinco años y medio de obras en Praga (Checoslovaquia entonces, hoy República Checa). El monumento era la mayor representación de Stalin en todo el mundo y fue destruido en 1962. El monumento estaba ubicado sobre un pedestal de hormigón, que todavía puede verse en el Parque Letná. Era el mayor grupo de estatuas de Europea, con 15,5 metros de altura y 22 metros de longitud. Su escultor fue Otakar Švec, que bajo presión del gobierno y de la policía secreta y tras recibir cartas amenazantes de ciudadanos checos se suicidó tres semanas después de la inauguración. At 2 p.m., May 12th, two Ninth Corps brigades were ordered to attack the Confederate works one-quarter mile southeast of this spot. The 17th Michigan was on the extreme left of the Federal line. As the regiment approached its objective, Brig. Gen. James Lane's North Carolina Brigade emerged from the thick woods and struck it on the left flank in the bloody hand-to-hand fighting that followed, the 17th Michigan lots its national colors and 189 of the 225 men it carried into battle.
