Ruins of Tada-Hori mine mechanical plant

Ruins of Tada-Hori mine Smelter mechanical ore dressing plant Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Roman Sea Mills - The Roman Ruins at Sea Mills

A Roman port town settled on the banks of the Avon between 1st and 2nd Cent. AD. The town, called Abonae by the Romans, appears to have supplied the settlement and fort of Caerleon across the Bristol channel (about 38km away to the north-west by boat). In 1934 Selley, a keen armature archaeologist, was given permission to "make some trial holes" to the east of Martin and Tratman where he uncovered more walls. Shelley's excavations are rather controversial, as nothing is recorded beyond occasional notes of finds and purchases of artefacts in his diaries. These walls are all that is left. This is a 3D record of the roman ruins, used as part of a 3D reconstruciton of the site as part of my PhD research project. You can [read more about the project and the PhD on my website](https://abirkett.cargo.site/), and [more about the reconstruciton process here](https://abirkett.blogspot.com/). Windmill and silo ruin- Campo de Criptana, Spain

Ground floor of a ruined windmill and the remains of its corresponding silo in Campo de Criptana (Spain). In La Mancha the windmills had three useful floors connected to each other by means of a spiral staircase. Each one of them was dedicated to one of the phases of the grinding work process. In the upper one, called moledero, most of the machinery was located. The flour descended through a vertical wooden gutter to the intermediate plant, called camareta, in which it was sifted and bagged. The lower floor of the windmill was called cuadra, and it was used to store different tools and sacks full of flour prior to sale or distribution. This is the only section preserved in this 3D model. An auxiliary element closely linked to the windmill was the silo, a semi-subterranean vaulted building with a rectangular floor located close to the windmill. It served to store tools and as a refuge for the miller, stable, and provisional storage of the grain before grinding. 203 ground, 431 drone photos. RealityCapture Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins

Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins located in Homosassa, Florida is managed by the Florida Park Service. This mill, owned by David Levy Yulee, is one of the best preserved examples of 19th century sugar mills in the state. The mill remains seen today are only a small portion of what was once a 5000 acre plantation situated along the Homosassa River. The mill operated between 1851 and 1864, and was a supplier of sugar and other products to Confederate troops during the American Civil War. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Salvatierra, Castle Ruins, Castilla-La Mancha

Salvatierra Castle is located in the municipality of Calzada de Calatrava (Ciudad Real, Spain). Its period of greatest historical prominence focuses between the battles of Alarcos (1195) and Las Navas de Tolosa (1212), playing a decisive role as a preamble of the latter. Between 1198 and 1211 the Order of Calatrava installed its convent headquarters in this fortress and was consolidated as the Order of Salvatierra. In 1226 it was definitely abandoned when its last Muslim defenders handed it over to Christians in the context of Las Navas pacts. Since 1992, it has been part of the Cultural Interest Assets (BIC) catalog of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha. Despite its advanced state of ruin, it still retains part of the donjon, numerous barrel vaults and large walled spaces that acted as albacar and barbican. Processed from 7468 images from a Phantom 4 Pro, completely modeled in Reality Capture. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
