Tape measure provides scale. b. Body-chamber and crushed phragmocone with body-chamber and phragmocone entirely filled with bioturbated matrix containing stringers of crinoid and molluscan debris. Flank of phragmocone encrusted by oysters. Tape measure for scale. c. Complex of Thallassinoides and Diplocraterion burrows associated with conch that has been eroded out by wave action. A few 'Ghostly' fragments of ammonite are also present. Original scope of the image approximately 400 mm. c. Changing birth places to care for healthcare workers, lessons from the pandemic: a scoping review.

Abstract

Background: Together with women giving birth, healthcare professionals involved in perinatal care faced significant challenges due to Covid-19 restrictions. The birth environment has been affected, influencing the quality and nature of interactions between care providers, women, and their families as well as the quality of care provided to women.

Aim: To identify, categorize and reflect on the most relevant aspects of the experience of healthcare workers, especially obstetricians and gynecologists, involved in the peripartum period, after the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic up till now.

Methods: A scoping review was conducted. After conducting a literature search using a variety of online data- bases, 22 articles were included, and the main/recurrent themes were identified.

Results: The following main themes were described: fear of the virus, changes in the way care is provided, increase in the workload, mental health, psychological distress, support strategies, university education, and perspectives of health managers.

Discussion: Standard maternity departments appeared not appropriate to face the pandemic. Psychological distress on perinatal healthcare workers’, the majority of whom were women, led to the impairment of their mental health, affecting the quality of care provided to women. A key role was played by healthcare managers support in shaping how doctors can cope and recover, and in reducing the mental health impact.

Conclusion: It is very important to address some of the most relevant issues to acknowledge the role of healthcare workers and improve the health systems organization to face future pandemics.

Interactive recommendations and action list for technical report from the UKRI Net Zero DRI Scoping Project

The UKRI Net Zero DRI Scoping Project produced evidence-based recommendations. This dataset provides an interactive way to list all of the recommendations and actions from the project. These files have been provided to show the mapping and links between the specific recommendations and the different strategic themes and roadmap actions proposed by the project.

Three file formats have been provided for ease of use: Excel, PDF, CSV. The recommendations, if opened in a spreadsheet, can be sorted or filtered based on a range of interest areas e.g. type of evidence, delivery pathway, strategic theme, delivery year.

There are two tabs in the spreadsheet. The first tab shows the recommendations discussed in the 'toolkit' section of the project's final technical report. The second tab shows actions discussed in the 'roadmap' section of the report.

For full details about the evidence that underpins these recommendations, please see technical report found here: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.8199984

The authors cited here are those who produced the files uploaded. Many other contributors are named in the technical report and is a synthesis of their work. Please also cite the technical report if you use this dataset.
