Thermal and electrical energy demands from energy meters and Measured values from sensors in an air handling unit and in the served lecture room of an university building

The dataset consists of measured values from 2 different energy meters installed in the Alice Perry Building of the NUIG university in Galway, Ireland, which measure respectively: (1) the thermal energy for heating delivered to the distribution loop towards the heating radiators of the thermal zone of the west part of the building, where many offices, and some meeting rooms and lectures rooms are located (measuring time interval of 1 minute, from April 2018 to the end of February 2019); (2) electrical energy demand for the chillers serving the whole building (daily values, from January 2018 to the end of February 2019).

The dataset also contains measured values of physical variables, states and operating conditions from a detailed layout of data-points installed in an air handling unit, in the outdoor environment and in the related served room, which is a lecture theatre in the Alice Perry Building of the NUIG university in Galway, Ireland. The data have been made available for the period from January 2018 to the end of February 2019, at the measuring time interval of 1 minute. The variables list, with their explanations and graphical schemes, is available as attachment.

The data have been made available from the BMS database, thanks to the BEMServer open-source platform - www.bemserver.org, developed in the HIT2GAP project that has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement n. 680708 - www.hit2gap.eu.

Data from energy meters of the NANOGUNE building (Spain)

The dataset consists of measured values from all the energy meters installed in Nanogune building located in San Sebastian (Spain). These meters differentiate between the electricity consumption of the intensive production equipment (chillers, clean room, laboratories, etc.) and the one related to the rest of the installation (offices, lighting, common areas, etc.). They also reflect the thermal consumption data (cold and heat) of each area of Nanogune building.

There are 79 meters in total: 58 of them are electric meters, 20 thermal meters (10 cold, 10 heat) and a gas meter. All the meters have a time step of 15 minutes, and the data set covers a period of 5 months.

The data set contains
- Timeseries as CSV files
- Timeseries metadata (description, unit, type,...) as JSON file

The data have been made available from the BMS database, thanks to the BEMServer open-source platform - www.bemserver.org, developed in the HIT2GAP project that has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement n. 680708 - www.hit2gap.eu.

Weather dataset (Typical Downscaled Year, Extreme Cold Year, Extreme Warm Year) for building energy simulations (.epw format) in future climate (2069-2098, RCP 8.5), Antwerp Berchem, Belgium

Typical Downscaled Year (TDY), Extreme Cold Year and Extreme Warm Year based on the methodology of Nik (2016), is extracted for the location of Antwerp Berchem (51°12'00"N 4°26'24" E) from the EC-Earth driven convection-permitting climate model COSMO-CLM for the Belgian domain extended with land-surface scheme TERRA_URB(v2.0) making use of the SURY (Semi-empirical URban canopY) parameterization ( Wouters et al. 2016). The integrations are identical to the ones which are described in Vanden Broucke et al. (2019). The climate model has a spatial resolution of 2.8 km and an hourly temporal resolution and is available for the recent past (1976-2004) and future (2070-2098, RCP 8.5 climate change scenario) as 30-year datasets. For this dataset, the TDY, ECY, and EWY are extracted for the future period. A bias correction is applied for the following variables: temperature (as described in Ramon et al. 2020), solar radiation and relative humidity as described in Ramon et al. (202X).
