<p>This dataset includes, the data files for validating the statistical analysis from "A Framework for Adapting Conversational Intelligent Tutoring Systems to enable Collaborative Learning"</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The dataset is composed of 1500 files named following the pattern `Test-R-N-User-C-P.csv` where</p> <ul> <li>R is the n-th repetition. From 0 to 50</li> <li>N is the number of concurrent users. From 100 to 1000</li> <li>C is the treatment. chat for the framework version. chat-session for the legacy version.</li> <li>P is the problem number. 16 or 352.</li> </ul> <p>The data files corresponding to chat and problem 16 are those that in the paper are identified as Framework. The following release message has been copied from v0.9:</p> <p>As the mark-up of al-Ḥaqāʾiq has been complete for some time now and we are waiting for our scans to be processed at Halle for some three years now, we have decided to release a practically complete version. There have been a couple of maintenance edits over the last years to unify the set-up of editions across the entire project. Thus, the folder with TEI files was renamed tei/. Entity linked as also considerably improved, particularly for periodical titles.</p>

The database is composed of three main subdirectories (Raw-Data, Processed-Data, and Code).&nbsp;The Code directory contains the Matlab script files used to&nbsp;process&nbsp;the raw data, visualize the processed data, and usage examples of the data provided. Historic machines from 'prams' to 'Parliament': new avenues for collaborative linguistic research

<p>Recording of presentation of long paper, DH Benelux 2022: RE-MIX. Creation and alteration in DH (Hybrid), 1-3 June 2022.</p> <p>Research in computational linguistics has made successful attempts at modelling word meaning at scale, but much remains to be done to put these computational models to the test of historical scholarship. More importantly, a lot of computational research looks at texts in a historical vacuum, &#39;synchronically&#39;, as linguists would say.&nbsp;<em>Living with Machines</em>&nbsp;is an interdisciplinary research project that rethinks the impact of technology on the lives of ordinary people during the Industrial Revolution. During this project, we decided to address a fundamental question: what did people mean by &lsquo;machine&rsquo; and how has this meaning changed over time?</p> <p>This paper outlines how a simple research question like &#39;what was a machine?&#39; can provide an opportunity to engage the public with our work while also generating data for analysis and new avenues of research in a radically collaborative way.</p>

<p>This video is the eighth talk from our two day Future Blood Testing: Challenges &amp; Opportunities Event that took place on the 13/09/2022.</p> <p>Collaborative Innovation Project funding launch - Dr Samantha Kanza (University of Reading)</p> <p>Bio: Dr Samantha Kanza is a Senior Enterprise Fellow at the University of Southampton. She completed her MEng in Computer Science at the University of Southampton and then worked for BAE Systems Applied Intelligence for a year before returning to do an iPhD in Web Science (in Computer Science and Chemistry), which focused on Semantic Tagging of Scientific Documents and Electronic Lab Notebooks. She was awarded her PhD in April 2018. Samantha works in the interdisciplinary research area of applying computer science techniques to the scientific domain, specifically through the use of semantic web technologies and artificial intelligence. Her research includes looking at electronic lab notebooks and smart laboratories, to improve the digitization and knowledge management of the scientific record using semantic web technologies; and using IoT devices in the laboratory. Challenges and Realities in Asian Elephant Research: A Global Bibliometric Analysis Highlighting Conservation Crises and Collaborative Opportunities

<p><span>The Asian elephant (<em>Elephas maximus</em>), also known as Asiatic elephant is facing a significant decline in its wild populations due to habitat loss, fragmentation and degradation, leading to increased conflicts between humans and elephants. Preserving this iconic species is crucial, prompting researchers to explore various aspects of its biology, behavior, ecology, and conservation efforts. </span><span>In light of the profound importance of this subject</span><span>, this study utilizes a descriptive systematic literature review (SLR) to examine global research trends on Asian elephants. Analyzing a dataset of 1,780 articles spanning from 1914 to 2022, the study reveals a notable increase in publications, particularly since 2000, with 142 articles published in 2022 alone. This research provides a comprehensive overview of advancements in Asian elephant studies, promoting international collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers. While research from leading scientific countries can aid in conservation efforts, there is a call for more inclusive, participatory and fair approaches. The study demonstrates a commitment to Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity (EID) by adopting a multifaceted approach that considers the needs, perspectives and contributions of diverse stakeholders. By addressing disparities and advocating for social justice within elephant conservation, the study emphasizes the urgent need for collective action in conservation, welfare improvement, conflict resolution, ecosystem balance, and overall enhancement of understanding about Asian elephants. Serving as a valuable resource for policymakers, conservation organizations, and researchers, the study not only synthesizes existing literature but also identifies research gaps, highlights areas requiring immediate attention, and offers collaborative opportunities for global scientists to contribute to the well-being and preservation of this majestic species.</span></p>

Early detection at the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge by a University researcher prompted a concerted effort to capture birds and employ the scout technique on two transmitter affixed birds. The scout method and reported species sightings resulted in identifying additional roost locations (4) where shooting operations took place.
