<p>Data and R code accompanying the publication "Range shifts of overwintering birds depend on habitat type, snow conditions and habitat specialization"</p> <p>Bosco L, Xu Y, Deshpande P, Lehikoinen A</p> <p>2022</p> <p>---------</p> <p>The data and code to calculate range shifts based on the center of gravity are provided here.</p> <p>The RData files contains raw data from the winter bird counts with added average snow depth values downloaded from open source databases (described in the paper), 100x100km grid info (grid ID, centroid coordinates and average (geographical) coordinates).</p> <p>The csv file contains the route lengths from the winter bird count transects per habitat type.</p> <p>The R file contains the R code used to clean the data (see methods in the publication) and calculate the habitat specific center of gravity (based on bird densities) which were used to calculate shift direction and distance.</p>
Dependency Networks of Open Source Libraries Available Through CocoaPods, Carthage and Swift PM
<p>Third party libraries are used to integrate existing solutions for common problems and help speed up development. The use of third party libraries, however, can carry risks, for example through vulnerabilities in these libraries. Studying the dependency networks of package managers lets us better understand and mitigate these risks. So far, the dependency networks of the three most important package managers of the Apple ecosystem, CocoaPods, Carthage and Swift PM, have not been studied. We analysed the dependencies for all publicly available open source libraries up to December 2021 and compiled a dataset containing the dependency networks of all three package managers. The dependency networks can be used to analyse how vulnerabilities are propagated through transitive dependencies. In order to ease the tracing of vulnerable libraries we also queried the NVD database and included publicly reported vulnerabilities for these libraries in the dataset. </p>

Temperature-dependent Lamb wave signals in highly anisotropic CFRP
<p>The dataset contains signals of propagating Lamb waves in highly anisotropic carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP). The reinforcement is unidirectional along 0 deg. A detailed description of the material and its parameters is given in [1]. The arrangement of piezoelectric actuator A and sensors S1-S7 is shown in figure "plate_angular_pzt_arrangement_50x50.png". Sensors are placed at propagation angles from 0 deg to 90 deg with a step of 15 deg. It should be noted that two piezoelectric transducers bonded to both sides of the plate were used as the actuator. It allowed for exciting Lamb waves with dominant A0 and S0 modes, respectively. Hence, there are two respective zip files with data.</p> <p>The following parameters were used during measurements:</p> <ul> <li>Temperatures: T=[50,40,30,20,10,0,-10,-20,-30,-40,-50];</li> <li>Number of cycles in Hann windowed signals: no_of_cycles=[2,2.5,3];</li> <li>Carrier frequencies of excitation signals [kHz]: frequencies=[20:10:250];</li> <li>Number of averages: 50;</li> <li>Sampling frequency: 10 MHz.</li> </ul> <p>The following equipment was used in the experiment:</p> <ul> <li>Environmental chamber by Angelantoni Test Technologies, model MyDiscovery 600 C;</li> <li>National Instruments waveform generator PXIe-5413;</li> <li>Krohn-Hite voltage amplifier model 7500;</li> <li>Cedrat Technologies LWDS amplifier (used as a charge amplifier);</li> <li>National Instruments oscilloscope PXIe-5105.</li> </ul> <p>Files in CSV format contain environmental chamber data (temperature programme, actual temperature and humidity over time, etc.). This can be read and plotted in Matlab by running the script “Read_plot_environmental_chamber.m”. There is another file “Read_plot_environmental_chamber_plus_DS18B20_RH20_KROHN_A0.m” in which temperature was registered also by DS18B20 digital sensor. It loops over all measurements so that it can be used also for reading signals from “niscope_avg_waveform.mat” in respective subfolders. In particular, sensor signals are stored in the “niscope_avg_waveform” variable, a matrix of dimensions 8192x7.</p>

Loflòc: A Morphological Lexicon for Occitan using Universal Dependencies
<p><strong>LOFLOC -- Lexic obèrt flechit Occitan (Open Inflected Lexicon of Occitan)</strong></p> <p>Loflòc is a morphological lexicon for Occitan, a Romance language spoken in the south of France and in parts of Italy and Spain. Occitan is not recognized as an official language in France and no standard variety is shared across the linguistic area. To the best of our knowledge, Loflòc is the first publicly available lexicon for Occitan. It contains 680 thousand entries for 57 thousand lemmas. Each entry contains an inflected form, its lemma and its part-of-speech tag according to the Universal Dependencies guidelines. Currently, the lexicon only contains the Lengadocian variety and the classical spelling norm. Nevertheless, it has been shown to be useful even for processing texts from other varieties (for more details, see Vergez-Couret et al., 2024; full reference below).</p>
Data from: Multifaceted density dependence: Social structure and seasonality effects on Serengeti lion demography
<p>This dataset contains the data and R scripts to estimate the survival, transition, and detection probabilities (Lions_Survival_Transition_MultistateCMRModel.zip) as well as the probability of reproduction and recruitment to 1 year old (Lions_Reproduction_Recruitment_GLMM.zip) in a population of African lions (<em>Panthera leo</em>) monitored between 1984 and 2014 in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania.</p> <p>We assessed the season-specific effects of density measures at the intra- (number of females in a pride and male coalition size) and extra-group levels (number of nomadic coalitions in the home range of a group) using a Bayesian multistate capture-mark-recapture model for the survival and transition rates and Bayesian generalized linear mixed models for reproduction probability and recruitment. <br><br>The README file further describes each uploaded file.</p>

Exploring the age dependent properties of M and L dwarfs using Gaia and SDSS: The Sample
<p>Sample from "Exploring the age dependent properties of M and L dwarfs using Gaia and SDSS". We present a sample of 74,216 M and L dwarfs constructed from two existing catalogs of cool dwarfs spectroscopically identified in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). We cross-matched the SDSS catalog with Gaia DR2 to obtain parallaxes and proper motions and modified the quality cuts suggested by the Gaia Collaboration to make them suitable for late-M and L dwarfs. </p>
Defective HNF4alpha-dependent gene expression as a driver of hepatocellular failure in alcoholic hepatitis [Suppl Data]
<p>Alcoholic hepatitis (AH) is a life-threatening condition characterized by profound hepatocellular dysfunction for which targeted treatments are urgently needed. Identification of molecular drivers is hampered by the lack of suitable animal models. By performing RNA sequencing in livers from patients with different phenotypes of alcohol-related liver disease (ALD), we show that the development of AH is characterized by the defective activity of liver-enriched transcription factors (LETFs). TGFb1is a key upstream transcriptome regulator in AH and induces the use of HNF4aP2 promoter in hepatocytes, which results in defective metabolic and synthetic functions. Gene polymorphisms in LETFs including HNF4aare not associated with the development of AH. In contrast, epigenetic studies show that AH livers have profound changes in DNA methylation state and chromatin remodeling, affecting HNF4a-dependent gene expression. We conclude that targeting TGFb1and epigenetic drivers that modulate HNF4a-dependent gene expression could be beneficial to improve hepatocellular function in patients with AH.</p>
