The data were collected as part of Operation IceBridge funded campaigns.Note: This data set is the Quick Look counterpart to the <a href="https://nsidc.org/data/idcsi4">IceBridge L4 Sea Ice Freeboard, Snow Depth, and Thickness</a> data set.
AMSRIce03 Sea Ice Thickness Data, Version 1
Notice to Data Users: The documentation for this data set was provided solely by the Principal Investigator(s) and was not further developed, thoroughly reviewed, or edited by NSIDC. Thus, support for this data set may be limited. This data set contains ice thickness measurements collected over sea ice in the Barrow, Alaska area and at the Navy Ice Camp in the main pack ice of the Arctic Ocean as part of the joint in situ and aircraft AMSRIce03 campaign conducted in March 2003.
GLERL Great Lakes Ice Thickness Data Base, 1966-1979, Version 1
During the winters of 1965/66 through 1976/77, NOAA/Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) collected weekly ice thickness and stratigraphy data at up to 90 stations per year on the Great Lakes. Data include station name, latitude, longitude and period of record as well as thickness of up to six ice layers, total ice thickness, snow depth (on top of ice), snow condition, ice condition, and ice type code.
Sea-ice Thickness and Draft Statistics from Submarine ULS, Moored ULS, and a Coupled Model, Version 1
This data set consists of estimates of mean values of sea-ice thickness and sea-ice draft in meters computed from three different input data sets: sea ice draft from Upward Looking Sonar (ULS) mounted on submarines, sea ice draft from ULS mounted on bottom-anchored moorings, and a simulated ice-thickness model. The data span from 1979 to 2004 and cover two regions centered around the North Pole.

Gridded Observational Sea Ice Thickness Products, Version 1
Fields of long-term mean spring ice thickness derived from ERS-1 (1993-2001) and CryoSat (2011 to 2013) radar altimeters, ICESat laser altimeter (2004 to 2009), Operation IceBridge airborne altimeter and snow radar (2009 to 2014), and submarine upward looking sonar (1986-) are provided on 100 km EASE grids. All satellite-derived ice thickness fields were regridded as needed from their original gridded format to 100-km EASE grids using a drop-in-the-bucket averaging. IceBridge and submarine thickness estimates within 70 km of a 100 km EASE grid box center were averaged to give a grid cell mean thickness.
