In situ limnological measurements collected in Lake Mondsee (Austria) from 1998 to 2017
<p><span>Two detailed datasets, including Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) records and water column profiles of several standard parameters obtained by multi-parameter sonde measurements during monthly surveys. These datasets may serve as references for future comparisons of critical water body features under changing environmental conditions in Lake Mondsee and elsewhere.</span></p>

<p>Data presented in the manuscript "Women in Limnology: from a historical perspective to a present-day evaluation", authored by the Gender and Science Group of the Iberian Association of Limnology and published in the journal <em>WIREs Water</em> in 2022. </p> <p>There is two datasets:</p> <p><strong>Annex1:</strong> Table containing the name, bibliography and relevant contributions of 73 female limnologists. Limnological topical words datasets from ASLO and Web of Science
<p>These datasets include the number of counts of pre-identified words related to limnological research found in abstracts of research (oral presentations and poster) for freshwater research presented at the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO) between 2004 and 2016. The raw data have been obtained from the Schneider group, and they have been summarized to build tables and figures in the associated Lapierre et al. paper (Limnology and Oceanography Letters. 2019). Additional datasets includes the number of counts of pre-identified words related to limnological research found in abstracts of articles found in Web of Science between 1994 and 2017. These data allowed us to compare research trends presented at ASLO meetings to those found in the scientific literature.</p>

Landscape Position Project: Chemical Limnology
Parameters characterizing the chemical limnology and spatial attributes of 51 lakes were surveyed as part of the Landscape Position Project. Parameters are measured at or close to the deepest part of the lake. The following parameters are measured one meter from the surface and two meters from the bottom of the lake: pH, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, total silica. The following parameters are measured one meter from the surface: dissolved organic carbon, total organic carbon, dissolved inorganic carbon, total inorganic carbon, spectrophotometric absorbance (color scan), major anions and cations, alkalinity. Sampling Frequency: once for conservative parameters (major ions, carbon, color, alkalinity); monthly for one summer for other parameters (chlorophyll, nitrogen, phosphorus, pH, silica, temperature, dissolved oxygen, and conductivity) Number of sites: 51
Dataset for "Limnological changes in Lake Victoria since the mid‐20th century"
<p>Dataset of light- (Secchi depth, vertical attenuation coefficient, euphotic depth), physico-chemical- (oxygen saturation, water temperature, specific conductivity, pH) and ecological-parameters (inorganic nutrients, particulate organic carbon, particulate nitrogen and phosphorus, Chlorophyll-a, phytoplankton biomass and composition) obtained from samples collected in Lake Victoria, a large lake in East Africa. Samples were collected in 2018-2019 in nearshore and offshore waters (Uganda), during three contrasting seasons: heavy rains (March), low rains (October) and dry (June), which corresponded to distinct water column mixing regimes, respectively, late-stratified, early-stratified and mixed regimes. Sampling was carried out during day light (between 7 am and 6 pm) in shallow nearshore sites (23, 15 and 16 stations for the mixed, early- and late-stratified seasons, respectively) to deeper offshore (7, 8 and 10) sites. At each sampling site we measured light parameters and we carried out vertical profiles (at a depth interval of 10 m, from the lake surface to the lake bottom) of physico-chemical and ecological parameters. In addition, while traveling between each sampling site we performed continuous measurements of physico-chemical parameters.</p> <p>Please note that the dataset is attached to the following paper :</p> <p>Deirmendjian, L, Descy, J-P, Morana, C, et al.
