The miniJPAS Survey: The Radial Distribution of Star Formation Rate in Faint X-ray AGN

Figures show the AGN host galaxies accompanied by their observed J-spectra within their Kron radii and the fitted spectrum with \texttt{CIGALE} to determine their physical properties. We note that \texttt{CIGALE} does not fit AGN emission for 1 source with miniJPAS object ID 2241-18160. This object fell in the composite area in the BPT diagram, and in the LINER area in the WHAN diagram. This could represent a case where the AGN is obscured due to dust and \texttt{CIGALE} fails to fit optical AGN emission for this case. This further emphasizes the importance of X-ray emission to identify AGN systems that are optically obscured and are seen as normal galaxies without X-ray detections. We report that the inclusion or emission of this object from our AGN sample does not produce any differences in the results obtained in this paper.

Reproduction package for the publication "Tidal disruption event AT2020ocn: early-time X-ray flares caused by a possible disc alignment process"

This package contains the data analysed in the paper "Tidal disruption event AT2020ocn: early–time X–ray flares caused by a possible disc alignment process". The software XSPEC (Arnaud 1996) is needed to perform the spectral analysis and reproduce the results shown in the paper.

The structure is as follows:

./reproduction_ocn/nicer: contains all processed NICER data used in the paper, grouped by their epochs. "speclist-early.dat" lists all the early-time epochs before MJD 59130. "en_range.dat" lists the selected energy range at each epoch during the early-time period for X-ray spectral analysis. Within each epoch-specific folder, "src.fits" and "bkg.fits" are the source+background and background spectra re-binned using the FTOOL "ftgrouppha"; "*.arf" and "*.rmf" are ancillary file and response file for spectral analysis; rest files are direct products of the NICER data reduction process. See the paper for details.

./reproduction_ocn/swift: contains all Swift/UVOT data used in the paper, grouped by their observation IDs. "m2.fits", "w1.fits", and "w2.fits" contain the UV lightcurves from three UV filters, produced by Swift task "uvotproduct". "swfxraypclc.dat" is the Swift/XRT lightcurve, produced by the online Swift pipeline: https://www.swift.ac.uk/user_objects/ (Evans et al. 2009). "./reproduction_ocn/MOSFiT-products/" includes MCMC products from the MOSFiT package (Mockler et al. 2019).

./reproduction_ocn/xmm: contains the reduced XMM-Newton/EPIC-pn spectra of three epochs used in the paper. "1and2-slim.xcm" is fitting the XMM#1 and XMM#2 spectra using the slim disc model. "3-phenmnlgcl.xcm" and "3-relxillCp.xcm", are fitting the XMM#3 spectrum with, a powerlaw+zbbody model and a slim disc+relxillCp model, respectively.

Whole-body X-ray images of laying hens with keel bone annotations and masks for training deep learning models

This dataset contains whole-body x-ray images of laying hens (n=1051), with the corresponding keel bone annotations and masks. This dataset was basically used to train deep learning models to segment the keel bone from the whole-body x-ray images. But can be used by others for further developments of similar models. This dataset was generated during the research project funded by Svenska Forskningsrådet Formas (2019-02116). The project aimed to develop a digital tool to assess bones of laying hens using x-ray imaging. All images are in JPEG format. All images are named with informative codes indicating bird ID, date and time of x-raying. For instance, in this "001_20230419_0957_PM.Dicom.jpg" image name, "001" stands for the bird ID, "20230419" for the x-raying date, "0957" for the x-raying time, and "PM.Dicom.jpg" indicates that the bird was x-rayed postmortem "PM" with "Dicom" file output and converted to the ".jpg" format.

Update on 28/08/2024: This dataset is linked to publication

Sallam et al. (2024) Research Note: A deep learning method segments chicken keel bones from whole-body X-ray images,
Poultry Science, Volume 103, Issue 11, 2024, 104214, ISSN 0032-5791,
https://doi.org/10.1016/j.psj.2024.104214

Inlists for "An Alternative Channel to Black Hole Low-Mass X-ray Binaries: Dynamical Friction of Dark Matter? "

In this work, we employ MESA code to diagnose whether the dynamical friction between dark matter and the companion stars can drive BH binaries to evolve toward the observed BH LMXBs and alleviate the effective temperature problem. Assuming that there exists a density spike of dark matter around BH, the dynamical friction can produce an efficient angular momentum loss, driving BH binaries with an intermediate-mass companion star to evolve into BH LMXBs for a spike index higher than $\gamma = 1.58$.

MESA version: r12115; SDK compiler: mesasdk-x86_64-linux-20190830
