CASSINI S MIMI LEMMS SENSOR CALIBRATED DATA V1.0

The Cassini Magnetospheric Imaging Instrument (MIMI) Low Energy Magnetospheric Measurements (LEMMS) measures ions and electrons in the energy range 0.03 to 18 MeV for ions and 0.015 to 0.884 MeV for electrons. The LEMMS calibrated data set includes two types of daily plots -- one presenting energy-time spectorgrams in units of intensity, and one with plots of particle pressures. There are also four types of averaged data -- minute and hourly averages for accumulator rate data and PHA data (ions and electrons). These data have been created at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory by applying the calibrations and averaging. Averaging is done by first defining time periods, and then averaging all data points within those fixed intervals. The time reported is the midpoint time of the interval.

2MASS Calibration Extended Source Working Database

Photometric calibration for 2MASS was performed using observations of calibration fields made at regular intervals during each night of survey operations. Measurements of standard stars in the fields were used to derive the photometric zero point offsets as a function of time during each night. Atmospheric extinction coefficients were derived from 2MASS observations made over long periods.2MASS calibration fields, or tiles, are 1° long in declination and approximately 8.5' wide in right ascension. There are 35 regular survey calibration fields distributed at approximately two hour intervals in right ascension near declinations of approximately -30°, 0° and +30°. An additional five calibration fields were defined in and around the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds to support the deep observation (6x) campaign towards the end of survey operations.Over the course of the survey, the regular calibration fields were scanned between 562 and 3692 times in nominally photometric conditions. Equatorial fields were observed from both observatories, so were observed more frequently than those near ±30° which were observed with only one telescope. The special Magellanic Cloud calibration fields were observed 108 to 468 times between November 2000 and February 2001.Calibration scan Atlas Images, and Point and Extended Source Working Databases (Cal-PSWDB and Cal-XSWDB), analogous to those from the main survey, were produced from the calibration scan pipeline data reduction. The calibration Image Atlas and WDBs are the fundamental processing archives of the data from 73,230 calibration scans taken in photometric conditions during 2MASS survey operations. The Cal-WDBs contain positions, magnitudes and characteristics of 191,464,020 and 403,811 point and extended "source" extractions, respectively. The calibration Image Atlas contains 878,769 FITS images in the three survey bandpasses redundantly covering ~5 deg2 of sky. Unlike the main survey and 6x observations, "Catalogs" have not been derived from the Calibration WDBs.

Also, updates were made to the calibration files, documentation, and catalog files. Significant changes were made to the PEPSSI packet processing and calibration, too extensive to go into here. Data from all previous data sets should be discarded. Refer to the data set documentation for details about processing of PEPSSI data.

This data set contains calibrated narrow band filter images (350-950 nm) images of Mars acquired by the Deep Impact High Resolution Visible CCD (HRIV) for the EPOCh project during the second cruise phase of the EPOXI mission. One set of observations was acquired on 20-21 November 2009 to characterize Mars as an analog for extrasolar planets. The observing period lasted approximately 24 hours. HRIV images were acquired once per hour with the filters centered on 350, 750 and 950 nm, whereas the 450-, 550-, 650-, and 850-nm data were taken every 15 minutes.

STARDUST NAVCAM RAW PREFLIGHT CALIBRATION IMAGES V2.0

This dataset contains the raw, preflight, thermal-vacuum calibration images collected by the Navigation Camera (NAVCAM) on 8-10 April 1998 for the Stardust mission. This is version 2.0 of the dataset, in which the original image data were converted from the standard PDS IMG format to the FITS format; no corrections were applied. The NExT mission to comet 9P/Tempel 1 used some of these preflight data to check the exposure time offsets due to shutter reversal and to determine dark current rates. This dataset supersedes version 1.0 which was safed by PDS because the data were not considered to be scientifically useful for the Stardust mission, due to problems encountered during the flight (stuck filter wheel, contamination on the instrument window, etc.) that changed the instrument characteristics.

PROBABILITY CALIBRATION BY THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM PROBABILITY SCORES IN ONE-CLASS BAYES LEARNING FOR ANOMALY DETECTION

PROBABILITY CALIBRATION BY THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM PROBABILITY SCORES IN ONE-CLASS BAYES LEARNING FOR ANOMALY DETECTION GUICHONG LI, NATHALIE JAPKOWICZ, IAN HOFFMAN, R. KURT UNGAR ABSTRACT. One-class Bayes learning such as one-class Naïve Bayes and one-class Bayesian Network employs Bayes learning to build a classifier on the positive class only for discriminating the positive class and the negative class. It has been applied to anomaly detection for identifying abnormal behaviors that deviate from normal behaviors. Because one-class Bayes classifiers can produce probability score, which can be used for defining anomaly score for anomaly detection, they are preferable in many practical applications as compared with other one-class learning techniques. However, previously proposed one-class Bayes classifiers might suffer from poor probability estimation when the negative training examples are unavailable. In this paper, we propose a new method to improve the probability estimation. The improved one-class Bayes classifiers can exhibits high performance as compared with previously proposed one-class Bayes classifiers according to our empirical results.
