Discrete Flow Cytometry of Underway Samples from TN398 Using a BD Influx Cell Sorter

The dataset consists of BD Influx-based analysis of picophytoplankton populations from discrete flow cytometry data collected underway during the University of Washington School of Oceanography undergraduate senior thesis cruise (TN398) during December 2021 from Honolulu to San Diego, crossing through the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. The data includes cell abundance, cell size (equivalent spherical diameter), carbon quota, and carbon biomass for picophytoplankton populations, namely the cyanobacteria Prochlorococcus, Synechococcus, and and small eukaryotic phytoplankton (<5 μm ESD). Time is in UTC format, latitude and longitude are in decimal degrees, and depth is in meters. Further information can be found here: https://github.com/fribalet/FCSplankton

Data from: Treated like dirt: Robust forensic and ecological inferences from soil eDNA after challenging sample storage

We investigated the effect of storage duration and conditions on the assessment of the soil biota with eDNA metabarcoding. We extracted eDNA from freshly collected soil samples and again from the same samples after storage under contrasting temperature conditions and contrasting exposure (open/closed tubes). We used four different primer sets targeting bacteria, fungi, protists (cercozoans), and general eukaryotes. We quantified differences in richness, evenness, and community composition. Subsequently, we tested whether we could correctly infer habitat type and original sample identity after storage using a large reference dataset.

This repository contains the un-demultiplexed fastq sequences.

Sample 3D image data from RIMS method for image analysis code demo

Sample 3D image data from RIMS method applied to mechanical test on hydrogel sphere packings, to be used in image analysis code demo as demonstrated in the ALERT Geomechanics doctoral school 2022. The data is a small subset from a larger set of data as found on Dryad via 10.5061/dryad.6djh9w0x8 and is separated here on Zenodo to make the subset more machine-readable.

Figure 3. Data Integration Sample-A Proposed Data Driven Architecture for Cardiology Network Application

Pentaho Data Integration has implemented a metadata-driven approach where you
only specify the data you want integrated, but you do not specify the way you want it done.
One of the most important advantages of Pentaho is that one can create complex
transformations and jobs in a graphical, drag-and-drop environment without having to create
proprietary custom code that will work only with some proprietary application.

Figure 4: Spectro°uorimetric spectra of TiO2/CdS composites samples with a di®erent mass proportion-PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF TIO2/CDS LAYERS AS POTENTIAL PHOTOELECTROCATALYTIC MATERIALS

Fig. 4 illustrates the fluorescence emission spectra of TiO2/CdS nanostructured ¯lm at the exciting
wavelength of 340 nm. The curves for TC 1, TC 2, TC 3 and TC 4 exhibited
the clear photoemission peaks at about 375 nm, and compared with emission of
bulk CdS (520 nm), 145 nm of blue shift was observed. These features indicate
the quantum-con¯ned e®ect of the TiO2/CdS nanocomposite ¯lms [25].

Fig. 1 shows the X-ray di®raction pattern for TiO2/CdS
composites (sample TC 1, TC 2, TC 3 and TC 4). The di®raction pattern of
the TiO2/CdS composites exhibits the di®raction peaks owning to CdS phase
(hexagonal and cubic). TiO2 (rutile and anatase) phases were also detected.

Optical properties of TiO2/CdS semi-
conductor composites have been investigated using optical absorption and pho-
toluminescence spectroscopy. UV-VIS absorption spectra of the as-prepared
photocatalysts were taken on a JASCO V-550 spectrometer. The °uorescence
spectra were obtained using an ABL&Jasco V 6500 spectro°uorimeter with
xenon lamp. The optical studies of the TiO2/CdS composites were performed
using the absorption spectra observed in the wavelength range 200-900 nm.
Fig. 3 shows the UV-Vis spectra of TiO2/CdS samples.

Figure 11. A sample of speech to facial animation system-Development an Automatic Speech to Facial Animation Conversion for Improve Deaf Lives

To increase the autonomy of deaf and hard of hearing people in their day-to-day
professional and social lives, in this paper design and initial implementation of a new approach
based on MFCC and Vector Quantization Method is described. This approach includes
analyses of speech to animate the talking head. Our future work will include the conception of
new test types and performance patterns. We are particularly interested in extending this
approach to testing to include implementation of applications under real-time constraints

This upload provides additional information and data related to the paper "Assessing First Time Usability of a Hand Augmentation Device in a Large Sample of Diverse Users" (Clode et al., 2024).

The study investigated users' first-time usage of the Third Thumb at "The Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition 2022", a large public engagement event held from July 6th to July 10th, 2022, at The Royal Society in London, England. The exhibition attracted more than 6,000 visitors.

The Third Thumb is a supernumerary robotic finger. During the event, nearly 600 participants practiced using the Third Thumb in motor tasks aimed at different aspects of motor control. We examined how various demographic factors affected performance.
