Análisis de residuos lignocelulósicos provenientes de procesos agroindustriales de la región del Cauca con potencial para el desarrollo de polímeros biodegradables

<p>Entre los principales problemas socio-ambientales de la actualidad se destacan, la dependencia de los recursos f&oacute;siles y la disposici&oacute;n de residuos, que han llevado a la instauraci&oacute;n de reglamentaciones y/o pol&iacute;ticas p&uacute;blicas, para mitigar los impactos producidos por estos. En este sentido, vale destacar que los residuos lignocelul&oacute;sicos son considerados como una de las materias primas renovables m&aacute;s abundantes y promisorias a nivel global. De esta forma, el aprovechamiento parcial, o incluso total, de los residuos agroindustriales lignocelul&oacute;sicos, no solo es una ventaja desde el punto de vista ambiental, sino que tambi&eacute;n podr&iacute;a resolver algunos problemas econ&oacute;micos. De hecho, esto puede conducir a la minimizaci&oacute;n de la disposici&oacute;n de residuos mediante el tratamiento o la gesti&oacute;n de estos y al desarrollo de bioproductos con alto valor agregado basados en los sistemas de econom&iacute;a circular.</p>
