The Impact of Website Design, E-Service Quality, Satisfaction, Trust to Intention to Purchase Skin Care Products in the E-Marketplace
<p><strong><span>The study aims to identify factors influencing pricing, understand how pricing affects purchase intention and customer satisfaction, and provide valuable insights for skincare businesses to develop effective pricing strategies in Indonesia’s skincare market. The study used a purposive sampling approach, collecting data from 123 respondents who were internet users in Indonesia in January 2024. These respondents have engaged with online retailers to purchase skin care products. The results found that website design affects e-service quality, affecting customer satisfaction and trust. Customer satisfaction and trust have a significant impact on repurchase intentions. This study recommends that skincare businesses focus on website design, provide high-quality e-services, and implement customer satisfaction and loyalty programs. Future research can explore additional factors and conduct similar studies in different locations or product categories.<span> </span></span></strong></p> <p><span>Keywords—Website design, skin care, e-marketplace, purchase intention, customer satisfaction, customer trust, e-service quality.</span></p>

Predicting pasture and forest landowner intention to create early successional habitat
<p>As human land uses expand across the landscape, the management practices of private landowners are an essential part of effective conservation. Early successional habitats (ESH) and the species that depend on them are a priority in the eastern United States, and efforts to create ESH on private lands has primarily focused on forest landowners and timber harvests. Private pasture lands in a forested landscape present an additional opportunity to create and maintain ESH, yet our understanding of landowner values and attitudes about management strategies in pastures is lacking. To address this, we surveyed private landowners in 5 Virginia counties who own ≥10.1 ha or >610 m elevation (<i>n</i> = 503). Our primary objective was to understand how a variety of factors such as landowner values, past experience with habitat management, and perceived barriers to carrying out habitat management are associated with private landowner intention to carry out 7 ESH management strategies (i.e., reduced mowing, reduced grazing, timber harvests within forest, timber harvests at a field-forest border, prescribed fire, use of machinery, and use of herbicides to control invasive species) for the benefit of wildlife in the next five years. We used boosted regression trees to determine which factors best predicted the intention to carry out each strategy. We were able to effectively predict (accuracy > 75%) landowner intention to engage in open pasture and timber management strategies. Landowner values were not consistent across the different management strategies; landowners likely to reduce mowing or grazing valued ecological aspects of their land (i.e., pollinator habitat water quality) whereas landowners likely to harvest timber valued hunting and revenue. Past experience with wildlife management was the strongest predictor of likelihood to reduce mowing and grazing. Our results suggest that expanding outreach efforts to include pasture management options would engage a broader set of landowners in creation of ESH, especially if such efforts highlighted the benefits to pollinator species, water quality, and enhanced opportunities for hunting and other types of recreation.</p>
Intention d'abandonner ses études chez les étudiants et Covid-19 : une application de la théorie du comportement planifié
<p>Cette base de données est issue d’une enquête quantitative par questionnaire (nombre d’observations = 415, période : mars 2021). Elle est construite sur la base de la théorie du comportement planifié. La variable finale que le modèle cherche à expliquer (la variable dépendante) est l’intention d’abandonner ses études chez les étudiants. </p> <p>L’objectif premier est de mesurer (via des statistiques descriptives) et de comprendre (via des statistiques explicatives) les facteurs qui conduisent des étudiants à envisager d’abandonner leurs études ; et donc à pouvoir comprendre comment agir pour limiter cet abandon. L’objectif second réside a) dans la prise en compte de l’impact d’un contexte (la pandémie du Covid-19) dans la théorie et b) dans la confirmation de la place de l’identité personnelle en tant que mesure alternative de l’intention comportementale (et non en tant que variable explicative de cette intention).</p>
Psychometric properties of intentional and unintentional non-adherence measurement tools
<p><span>Background</span><span>: Distinguishing intentional from unintentional non-adherence (persistent forgetfulness) is key when contemplating interventions to optimise medication adherence.</span></p> <p><span>Objective</span><span>: To categorise patient-reported-outcome measures (PROM) into their propensity to detect intentional and unintentional non-adherence to medication, and to synthesise their psychometric properties.</span></p> <p><span>Design</span><span>: Review's conduct and reporting were based on the PRISMA-2020 checklist and COSMIN-2018 guidelines. We searched publications from January 1980 –1 March 2022 in MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, International Pharmaceutical Abstracts and Cochrane Library. Articles describing the PROM development and validation of the scoring </span><span>methods to categorise patients into non or adherent, and those which incorporated a proxy measure for adherence were included. We assessed the quality of studies using the COSMIN risk of bias tool and included studies which described a minimum of 2 psychometric properties. Open-ended PROM items, which were without a method of scoring, or translated versions were excluded. To ensure an exhaustive binning process, 2 reviewers independently evaluated and coded every criterion-item for possible inclusion into both an outcome and a process domain bin deemed fit.</span></p> <p><span>Outcomes</span><span>: Outcome domain-bins were intentional, unintentional or mixed. Process domains were behaviour (e.g., self-efficacy), barrier (e.g., impaired dexterity), or belief (e.g., perception). PROM were assigned an overall category of either intentional(I), unintentional (UI) or mixed (UI/I) depending on the collective leading domain of the individual criterion-items.</span></p> <p><span>Results</span><span>: 59 PROM were validated among patients aged 18 to 85 years in the USA and UK, Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Switzerland), Middle East (Turkey) and Australasia (Malaysia, China, Australia). 44 PROM were primarily intentional (I=491 criterion-items) while 13 were mixed (I=79/ UI=50) and the remaining 2, unintentional (UI=5). The corresponding process domains were belief (n=383 items), barrier (n=192 items), and behaviour (165 items). Psychometrics evaluation revealed heterogeneity for: i) PROM definitions – severity cut-off scores, and scoring method (ordinal, dichotomised, visual analogue scale), and for ii) criterion validity –varied proxy measures used (biomarkers, pill count, electronic monitors). One's belief, behaviour, and barriers encountered were likely indicators for I, UI and mixed U/I non-adherence respectively.</span></p> <p><span>Conclusion</span><span>: Medication non-adherence that is primarily intentional, is highly prevalent. Eight intentional and 2 partial intentionality PROM exhibited adequate psychometric properties. Fortification of patients' knowledge and illness perception, as opposed to daily reminders alone, is necessary.</span></p>
Interest in insect die-off and intention for action using Google trends
<p><span>1. The publication of "More than 75 percent decline over 27 years in total flying insect biomass in protected areas" by Hallmann et al. in October 2017 gained vast media coverage in Germany. The insect crisis as conservation topic has received little attention among the public before, but since media influences people's awareness, we investigated i) whether the study publication induced </span><span>increased awareness among the German public for insect die-off, and ii) whether it contributed to people's intentions to undertake insect protecting actions. </span></p> <p><span>2. We used Google Trends to examine the people's internet activity in terms of keywords relevant to our research question.</span></p> <p><span>3. A high peak in Google searches for insect die-off (Insektensterben) was indeed visible just after the study publication, and search volume remained significantly higher for the following six months, confirming that the topic gained attention. </span></p> <p><span>4. Searches for the three keywords insect hotel, bee friendly and bee meadow increased significantly over the summers of the years 2017 to 2019. This suggests that intentions to undertake these simple insect protecting actions rose as well. The results propose that media should use the window of opportunity opened by shocking news about a crisis to spread information on feasible counteractions. </span></p> <p><span>5. </span><span>Due to the prevailing topicality in the media and the already increased awareness and willingness to action among the population, conservation organizations can take advantage of the situation by communicating practical conservation measures to the general public in cooperation with media agencies or via own channels such as press releases and social media campaigns.</span></p> <div> <div> <div class="msocomtxt"></div> </div> </div>
