XPM-104, Sapsuk River, Alaska. Small Notch Stone, Fishing Weight or Net Sinker. XPM-104-C2 C XPM-104 is a group of house depressions on a high terrace overlooking the river. This component dates to approximately 600-800 CE. These small notched stones have only been found here and at the Hot Springs Village Site. Sapsuk River, Nelson Lagoon area, Alaska Peninsula, Alaska. Several salmon fishing sites. Early period dating 3200-2100 BCE, and a later occupation 100 BCE to 500 CE. Original digitizing work done at the IVL at Id. St. Univ. Subsequent processing completed at Global Digital Heritage. These artifacts were scanned with either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. Processed in Geomagic or Polyworks. 4-8 photos were used for texture in Geomagic Wrap Maschner, H. et al. 2010. The Archaeology of the Sapsuk River, Alaska. An Occasional Papers Publication. This component dates to approximately 100-300 CE. Grooved stones such as thuse, with multiple grooves or notches, are unusual. Sapsuk River, Nelson Lagoon area, Alaska Peninsula, Alaska. Several salmon fishing sites. Early period dating 3200-2100 BCE, and a later occupation 100 BCE to 500 CE. Original digitizing work done at the IVL at Id. St. Univ. Dataset for article "Fatigue crack initiation and propagation relation at notched specimens with welded joint characteristics"

<p>The dataset presents is a collection of fatigue test data obtained from artificially notched specimens with weld characteristics. The data was used to investigate the relation between crack initiation and propagation in welded joints of different notch acuity (different radii and opening angle) by excluding the effect of geometrical variation along weld seams. Jacks Reef Corner-Notched Projectile Point

Jacks Reef Corner-Notched Projectile Point (Catalog # 2004.48.339), a part of the Michigan State University Museum's Archaeology Teaching Collection. This tool, made out of chert, is associated with the Middle and Late Woodland Periods of North America and is primarily found in the Northeast and Midwestern United States. These projectile points were used as arrow or dart points, as well as multi-purpose cutting tools. Dimensions: approximately 3.8cm L x 2.7cm W x 0.5cm T, weight= 4.5g This 3D model was created by Jeff Painter using an Artec Space Spider and Artec Studio 14 Professional, in partnership with the MSU Digital Heritage Imaging and Innovation (DHI) Lab. Replica Snyders Corner-Notched Projectile Point

Replica Snyders Corner-Notched Projectile Point (Catalog # 2002:226.2), a part of the Michigan State University Museum's Archaeology Teaching Collection. Created by Tim Dillard, this tool is made out of Wyandotte chert. Snyders points are associated with the Middle Woodland Period of the Eastern Woodlands in North America and are found primarily in the Midwest. These projectile points were used as spear or dart points, as well as multi-purpose cutting tools.
