Spanish Civil War Mountain Fighting Position
This is a detailed model of a republican position. I uploaded a similar one that we did it with a drone (https://skfb.ly/6Xnqq) and before working in it. Now you can learn more info about this outpost checking the annotations. After a brief survey, excavation and work in archives, we discovered that this position was occupied by a Disciplinary Batallion of the Republican Army. Its members were the condemned by the military tribunals and civilians inmates. The position has secondary importance and, even we registed some artillery craters, shooting was random. The francoist defences were very far away. But we discovered interesting information about the soldiers habits. Their diet (as well as their moral) was very poor, cans of sardines and other fishes, distributed throught the hill, prove it. A little quantity of bones from small mamals were also found. Ross was a former member of the Merchant Navy and an Armoury Information Centre volunteer. The data was entered by Auckland War Memorial Museum Tamaki Paenga Hira Armoury volunteers and staff. A Twitter Streaming Data Set collected before and after the Onset of the War between Russia and Ukraine in 2022
<p>Social media can be mirrors of human interaction, society, and world events. Their reach enables the global dissemination of information in the shortest possible time and thus the individual participation of people all over the world in global events in almost real-time. However, equally efficient, these platforms can be misused in the context of information warfare in order to manipulate human perception and opinion formation. The outbreak of war between Russia and Ukraine on February 24, 2022, demonstrated this in a striking manner. </p> <p>Here we publish a dataset of raw tweets collected by using the Twitter Streaming API in the context of the onset of the war which Russia started on Ukraine on February 24, 2022. A distinctive feature of the dataset is that it covers the period from one week before to one week after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. We publish the IDs of all tweets we streamed during that time, the time we rehydrated them using Twitter's API as well as the result of the rehydration. Increased impact sensitivity in ageing high explosives: Analysis of Amatol extracted from explosive remnants of war
<p>Millions of tonnes of explosive remnants of war remain in nature, and the volume is continuously growing. The explosive legacy of wars represents an increasing threat to the environment and to societal safety and security. As munitions continue to deteriorate, harmful constituents will eventually leak into the environment, poisoning ecological receptors and contaminating the surrounding soil and groundwater. Deteriorating munitions may also become increasingly sensitive to external stimuli and may be susceptible to accidental detonation. To thoroughly assess how to address these ageing munitions, we must first establish certain threshold values for the safe and secure handling and final disposal of the explosive ordnance. One key factor is to establish how the impact sensitivity of the explosives evolves over time. In the present work, we investigated the high explosive substance Amatol extracted from ageing explosive remnants of war. The results obtained in the analysis indicate that the high explosives in the examined specimens generally were much more sensitive to impact than previously assumed. Furthermore, the analysis revealed that the standardised methodology of impact sensitivity testing was insufficient for estimating the sensitivities in question, and a more careful statistical analysis was required.</p>

The American Civil War monument dedicated to General Lee located near Bradfordville, FL. This is an experiment to test CloudCompare software by comparing the [2016 version](https://sketchfab.com/models/8e753b01f9594236bc2840f53c5d10e1) of this monument to the [2017 version](https://sketchfab.com/models/7a678d7bc8af477489c1ed287d9ac1ad) after the stone slab was knocked over and reset. Since the stone was reset slightly differently than before, two different comparisons were necessary.
