<h1>2D QUANTUM EDWARDS-ANDERSON GROUND-STATE DATASET:</h1> <p>The dataset contains coupling and energy data for 50 instances of a 2D quantum Edwards-Anderson model at Gamma (transverse field) = 1.8, featuring N=LxL=100 spins on a square lattice of side-length L=10 with periodic boundary conditions. The couplings are sampled from a Gaussian distribution with zero mean and unit variance.<br>The dataset consists of two text files containing coupling values and the corresponding ground-state energies.</p> <h2>Coupling Data (`coup_dataset.txt`)</h2> <p>The file `coup_dataset.txt` contains fifty sets of coupling data. Each set consists of three columns representing the indices `i`, `j`, and the coupling value `J_ij`, respectively.<br>The spin indices range from 1 to 100, ordered progressively by rows. Each set of coupling data is separated by two empty lines.</p> <h2>Energy Data (eng_dataset.txt)</h2> <p>The file `eng_dataset.txt` contains fifty rows of energy data corresponding to the coupling sets in `coup_dataset.txt`. Data from: Trends in plant cover derived from vegetation-plot data using ordinal zero-augmented beta regression
<p><strong>Questions.</strong> Plant cover values in vegetation-plot data are bounded between 0 and 1, and cover is typically recorded in discrete classes with non-equal intervals. Consequently, cover data are skewed and heteroskedastic, which hampers the application of conventional regression methods. Recently developed ordinal beta regression models consider these statistical difficulties. Our primary question is if we can detect species trends in vegetation-plot time series data with this modelling approach. A second question is whether trends in cover have additional value compared to trends in occurrence, which are easier to assess for practitioners.</p> <p><strong>Location</strong>. The Netherlands, Western Europe.</p> <p><strong>Methods. </strong>We used vegetation-plot data collected from 10.000 fixed plots which were surveyed once every four years during 1999-2022. We used the ordinal zero-augmented beta regression (OZAB) model, a hierarchical model consisting of a logistic regression for presence and an ordinal beta regression for cover. We adapted the OZAB model for longitudinal data and produced estimates of cover and occurrence for each four-year period. Thereafter we assessed trends in cover and in occurrence across all periods.</p> <p><strong>Results.</strong> We found evidence of a trend in cover in 318 out of the 721 species (44%) with sufficient data. Most species showed similar directional trends in occurrence and percent cover. No trend in occurrence was detected for 64 species that had evidence of a trend in cover. Declining species had stronger relative changes in cover than in occurrence.</p> <p><strong>Conclusions. </strong>Our model enables researchers to detect trends in cover using longitudinal vegetation-plot data. Cover trends often corroborated trends in occurrence, but we also regularly found trends in cover even in the absence of evidence for trends in occurrence. Our approach thus contributes to a more complete picture of (changes in) vegetation composition based on large monitoring datasets.</p>

<p>Data for the publication <em>Fisher zeroes and dynamical quantum phase transitions for two- and three-dimensional models</em>. Included are data for return rates and Fisher zeroes. The names of the data files contain all metadata necessary for specifying the type of data, with a list of the paramters used. For more details on the models and paramters see the article.</p> <ul> <li>Firstly the three models are considered labelled by <em>Kit</em> for the 2D spinless px+ipy topological superconductor, <em>Sq</em> for the 2D spinfull topological superconductor, and <em>3D</em> for the 3D topological insulator.</li> <li>After <em>_N_</em> the system size is written, referring the number of sites along one direction (for finite size calcualtions only).</li> <li><em>RR</em> refers to the return rate. For <em>Kit</em> the columns are $t$, $l(t), $\dot{l}(t)$, $\ddot{l}(t)$. If only two columns exit then there is just $t$, $\dot{l}(t)$. For <em>Sq</em> the columns are $t$, $l(t), $\dot{l}(t)$, $|\lambda_0(t)|$. For <em>3D</em> the columns are $t$, $\dot{l}(t)$, $\ddot{l}(t)$.</li> <li><em>Density</em> refers to the density of Fisher zeroes along the real time axis, with the columns being simply time and density.</li> <li><em>Fisher</em> to Fisher zeroes in the complex plane with <em>kx</em>, etc meaning it is resolved along this momentum direction. ACCESS-ESM-1.5 net-zero emissions 1000-year long simulations: Seasonal temperature and precipitation gridded data with area-average timeseries of temperature, precipitation and sea ice data
<p>NetCDF files used in analysis shown in King et al. (2024) https://egusphere.copernicus.org/preprints/2024/egusphere-2023-2961/.</p> <p>Seasonal-average mapped 1.5 metre air temperature temperature data are in NetCDFs with "fld_s03i236" in their name. These files are for boreal summer "JJA" or boreal winter "DJF". The "B20__" represents the start year of the net-zero emissions simulation from which these data are drawn. These files each have 1000 time-steps and the data are in native resolution of ACCESS-ESM-1.5: 1.875 degrees longitude by 1.25 degrees latitude.</p> <p>Seasonally-averaged precipitation rate (kg/m2/s) data are in NetCDFs with "fld_s05i216" in their name. Seasons and simulation information follow the same format as the temperature files.</p> <p>The file "ts_gwl.nc" includes several timeseries used in the paper including global-average SST ("TEMP_SURFACE"), global mean ocean temperature ("TEMP_GLOBAL"), and March/September Arctic ("ICEN") and Antarctic ("ICES") sea ice extent.</p> <p>The scripts used to make the Figures are included and run using IDL version 9.0. </p> <p>For any advice on using these files please feel free to contact me: andrew.king@unimelb.edu.au.</p>
Data for: Many-body thermodynamics on quantum computers via partition function zeros
<p>Partition functions are ubiquitous in physics: they are important in determining the thermodynamic properties of many-body systems, and in understanding their phase transitions. As shown by Lee and Yang, analytically continuing the partition function to the complex plane allows us to obtain its zeros and thus the entire function. Moreover, the scaling and nature of these zeros can elucidate phase transitions. Here we show how to find partition function zeros on noisy intermediate-scale trapped ion quantum computers in a scalable manner, using the XXZ spin chain model as a prototype, and observe their transition from XY-like behavior to Ising-like behavior as a function of the anisotropy. While quantum computers cannot yet scale to the thermodynamic limit, our work provides a pathway to do so as hardware improves, allowing the future calculation of critical phenomena for systems beyond classical computing limits.</p>

Comparing zero-parameter theories for the WCA and harmonic-repulsive melting lines (data)
<p>This dataset contains data related to the paper titled "Comparing zero-parameter theories for the WCA and harmonic-repulsive melting lines" by Jeppe C. Dyre and Ulf R. Pedersen, with the abstract:</p> <p>The melting line of the Weeks-Chandler-Andersen (WCA) system was recently determined accurately and compared to the predictions of four analytical hard-sphere approximations [Attia \textit{et al.}, J. Chem. Phys. \textbf{157}, 034502 (2022)]. Here, we study an alternative zero-parameter prediction based on the isomorph theory, the input of which relate to properties at a single reference state point on the melting line. The two central assumptions made are that the harmonic-repulsive potential approximates the WCA potential and that pair collisions are uncorrelated. The new approach gives excellent predictions at high temperatures, while the hard-sphere-theory based predictions are better at lower temperatures. Supplementing the WCA investigation, the face-centered-crystal to fluid coexistence line is determined for a system of harmonic-repulsive particles and compared to the zero-parameter theories. The results indicate that the excellent isomorph-theory predictions for the WCA potential at higher temperatures may be partly due to a cancellation of errors between the two above-mentioned assumptions.</p>

Data and Code for "A Ray-Based Input Distance Function to Model Zero-Valued Output Quantities: Derivation and an Empirical Application"
<p>This data and code archive provides all the data and code for replicating the empirical analysis that is presented in the journal article "A Ray-Based Input Distance Function to Model Zero-Valued Output Quantities: Derivation and an Empirical Application" authored by Juan José Price and Arne Henningsen and published in the Journal of Productivity Analysis (DOI: <a href="https://doi.org/10.1007/s11123-023-00684-1">10.1007/s11123-023-00684-1</a>).</p> <p>We conducted the empirical analysis with the "R" statistical software (version 4.3.0) using the add-on packages "combinat" (version 0.0.8), "miscTools" (version 0.6.28), "quadprog" (version 1.5.8), sfaR (version 1.0.0), stargazer (version 5.2.3), and "xtable" (version 1.8.4) that are available at CRAN. We created the R package "micEconDistRay" that provides the functions for empirical analyses with ray-based input distance functions that we developed for the above-mentioned paper. Data from: Zero- to ultralow-field relaxometry of chemical and biological fluids
<p>NMR relaxometry is an analytical technique that provides information about the molecular environment by analyzing the properties of NMR signals versus the magnitude of the longitudinal field. In this work, we present NMR relaxometry at zero and ultra-low magnetic fields (ZULFs). Operation under ZULFs allows us to investigate many slow (bio)chemical processes, whose timescale (milliseconds-seconds) coincides with a timescale of spin evolution. In contrast to their high-field NMR, ZULF NMR measurements can be performed with atomic magnetometers. Here, we share the dataset obtained from ZULF NMR relaxometry measurements of (bio)chemical compounds containing 1H 13C, 1H-15N, and 1H-31P spin pairs, human whole-blood and blood-plasma.</p>

Net-zero 1.5 °C sectorial pathways for G20 countries: energy and emissions data to inform science-based decarbonization targets
<p><span>This data for global, regional (EU-27), and country-specific (G20 member countries) energy and emission pathways required to achieve a defined carbon budget of under 450 Gt/CO2, developed to limit the mean global temperature rise to 1.5°C, over 50% likelihood. The data were calculated with the 1.5°C sectorial pathways of the One Earth Climate Model—an integrated energy assessment model devised at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). </span></p> <p><span>The data consist of the following six zip-folder datasets (refer to Section 2 for an explanation of the data):</span></p> <p><span>1. </span><span>Appendix folder: Each file contains one worksheet, which summarizes the overall 1.5°C scenario.</span></p> <p><span>2. </span><span>Sector folder (XLSX): Each file contains one worksheet, which summarizes the industry sectors analysed.</span></p> <p><span>3. </span><span>Sector folder (CSV): The data contained are the same as those described in point 2.</span></p> <p><span>4. </span><span>Sector emissions folder: Each file contains one worksheet, which summarizes the total annual emissions for each industry sector.</span></p> <p><span>5. </span><span>Scope emissions folder (XLSX): Each file contains one worksheet, which summarizes the total annual emissions for each industry sector—with the additional specificity of emission scope. </span></p> <p><span>6. </span><span>Scope emissions folder (CSV): The data contained are the same as those described in point 5.</span></p>
Factors Associated with Scientific Production Citations in Dentistry: Zero-inflated Negative Binomial Regression and Hurdle Modelling
<p><strong>Abstracto:</strong> La literatura científica mundial en odontología ha mostrado importantes avances en este campo, con importantes contribuciones que van desde el análisis de los aspectos epidemiológicos básicos de la prevención hasta resultados especializados en el campo de los tratamientos dentales. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el estado actual de la literatura científica sobre odontología alojada en la base de datos Web of Science. La metodología incluye dos fases en el análisis de artículos y revisiones indexadas en todas las áreas temáticas. Durante la primera fase, se analizan las siguientes variables: la producción científica por parte del editor, la evolución de la producción científica publicada por los editores, los factores asociados al impacto de la producción científica y la modelización del impacto de la producción científica en odontología. Durante la segunda fase, se analizan asociaciones, evoluciones y tendencias en el uso de palabras clave principales en la literatura científica en odontología. En conclusión, el estudio muestra que los temas más estudiados incluyen la asociación de la educación dental y el plan de estudios, la asociación de la odontología pediátrica con la salud oral y el cuidado dental. Los hallazgos muestran que también destacan temas enfatizados más recientemente, como la odontología basada en la evidencia, la pandemia, el control de infecciones y la endodoncia, así como la necesidad de futuras investigaciones para ampliar el conocimiento actual basado en temas emergentes en la literatura científica sobre odontología.</p>
