The Category-Modifier system: a hierarchical classification scheme for vertebrate tooth marks - supplementary tables
<p>Preserved records of tooth-bone interactions, known as tooth marks, can yield a wealth of information regarding organismal behavior and ecology. For this reason, workers in a wide range of disciplines, but particularly paleontology, have inspected and interpreted these features for decades. Although previous studies have gleaned invaluable insights, they have also described tooth marks using terminological frameworks that have been incompletely defined, have incorporated behavioral hypotheses in definitions, and/or have been inconsistently applied. To address these problems, we introduce the Category-Modifier (CM) system, the first system to both sort tooth marks into clearly defined main categories and use descriptive modifiers to characterize their appearance more precisely. The CM system is designed to apply to a wide range of vertebrates, to enable comparisons across disciplines and studies, and to help researchers keep their investigations into behavioral hypotheses free of circular reasoning.</p>

The sharing of research raw data in journals indexed in the Cell & Tissue Engineering JCR category (2011-2015)
<p>The availability of research data sets is an important milestone since it can enhance the dynamics of research. This study aims to analyze the PubMed Central repository to determine the availability and type of raw data sets in Cell & Tissue Engineering journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports. The number and types of files were registered. A search of the 21 journals from the Cell & Tissue Engineering category of the 2015 Journal Citation Reports was conducted. Information was collected from October to December 2016. A study of the supplementary material of the original articles published between 2011-2015 was performed through a search in the PubMed Central repository, which is the most used free full-text repository in biomedicine. Only articles with supplementary material were retrieved. The number and types of files were registered. In cases where a compressed file, such as a .zip or .rar file, was found, it was opened to check what kinds of files it contained.</p>

Google Categories (ProductsServices) to DMOZ mapping
<p>This deposit contains the RDF version of a subset of the Google Categories dataset (named ProductsServices, available at https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/productsservices.csv - last access: 2018-06-29) and the RDF version of a subset of the DMOZ categories dump.</p> <p>Categories have been modeled as SKOS Concept in both datasets.</p> <p>There is also a mapping file that contains links between instances described in these datasets. Links have been created manually (we adopted the SKOS vocabulary).</p>

Essential Urban Land Cover Category across the Conterminous United States
<p>This dataset, titled "Essential Urban Land Cover Category across the Conterminous United States", contains high-resolution urban land cover maps for urban areas across the Conterminous United States produced in the manuscript "Large-scale High-resolution Essential Urban Land Cover Category (EULCC) Mapping Using a Semantic-Augmented and Noise-Tolerant Approach". The land cover maps are organized by city, with each city’s data stored as a separate <span>TIFF </span>file. These city-level files are grouped by state, and the dataset provided here is the compressed files of the state-level folders.</p> <p>The raster data values range from 1 to 9 in the land cover maps, representing different essential urban land cover categories as follows:</p> <table> <tbody> <tr> <td>Values</td> <td>Classes</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1</td> <td>Building</td> </tr> <tr> <td>2</td> <td>Tree</td> </tr> <tr> <td>3</td> <td>Grass/Shrub</td> </tr> <tr> <td>4</td> <td>Parking lot</td> </tr> <tr> <td>5</td> <td>Road</td> </tr> <tr> <td>6</td> <td>Water</td> </tr> <tr> <td>7</td> <td>Barren</td> </tr> <tr> <td>8</td> <td>Agriculture</td> </tr> <tr> <td>9</td> <td>Others</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p> </p>

Pictures of diseased soybean leaves by category captured in field and with controlled backgrounds: Auburn soybean disease image dataset (ASDID)
<p>The dataset contains 2D images/photographs of diseased soybean leaves ideal for plant disease identification and visual object recognition research. Images were captured during the 2020 and 2021 soybean seasons using a Canon EOS 7D Mark II Digital SLR Camera and a Motorola Moto Z2 Play Smartphone from fields at the EV Smith Agricultural Research Station (Tallassee, Alabama), the Cullars Rotation (Auburn, Alabama), and the Brewton Agricultural Research Unit (Brewton, Alabama). Across both seasons there are a total of 9,981 original images collected across eight disease/deficiency categories. These include (1) healthy-looking plants, and those displaying the symptoms of (2) bacterial blight, (3) cercospora leaf blight, (4) downey mildew, (5) frogeye leaf spot, (6) soybean rust, (7) target spot, and (8) potassium deficiency. For each disease category, leaves were photographed at various canopy heights while still attached to the plant in the field or they were detached from the plant and then immediately photographed while laid flat on the ground in trimmed grass or on a white surface. Images were collected with the goal of developing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based automated classifier of digital images of soybean diseases. Dataset is well-suited for classification modeling.</p>
