Figure 3 in Look closely and listen carefully: unexpected cicada diversity in northern Sardinia, with the description of a new species (Cicadidae: Tibicina)
Figure 3. Calling song characters of the Tibicina OTUs from Sardinia and the known species from Corsica. Mean values per individual. A, syllable periods (SYP) vs. centre frequencies (N ind = 103). B, contribution of PP, NP and ISYD to the species-specific SYP (Nind = 103). C, two converse examples of temperature dependency of SYP (Nind = 19 resp. 23).
Figure 7 in Look closely and listen carefully: unexpected cicada diversity in northern Sardinia, with the description of a new species (Cicadidae: Tibicina)
Figure 7. Morphology of Tibicina longisyllaba and relatives. A, holotype male of Tibicina longisyllaba in dorsal view and ventral view of the abdomen from Tempio Pausania (black bar = 1 cm). B, paratype female of Tibicina longisyllaba from Tempio Pausania. C, syntype male of Tibicina cisticola from the Natural History Museum of Berlin with original labels. D, genitalia of T. longisyllaba. Timbals with alternating short and long ribs of (E) T. longisyllaba holotype in comparison to (F) T. cisticola syntype (equal magnification, almost similar body size, 24.4 resp. 24.8 mm; white perpendicular line = timbal width definition). Morphological extremes in natural habitats: G, male of T. nigronervosa; H, male of T. sp. indet.

Code and data for colouration experiment 'WFS in listening room'
<p>This data set contains stimuli, results and code for statistical analysis of a colouration experiment where humans had to rate the colouration of virtual sources synthesised by Wave Field Synthesis in free field and in different listening rooms compared to a real source as reference. The stimuli were presented via dynamic binaural synthesis with the <a href="http://www.spatialaudio.net/ssr/">SoundScape Renderer</a>. The source code is licensed under GPL v3.</p> <p>Overview:</p> <ul> <li>The folder 'stimuli' contains the impulse responses for the SoundScape Renderer as WAV files and anechoic audio content.</li> <li>The folder 'experimental_results' contains the data saved in the listening experiment as CSV files.</li> <li>The folder 'statistics' contains <a href="http://www.mathworks.com">Matlab</a> scripts that perform the statistical analysis.</li> </ul>

Deezer listening events dataset
<p><strong>What does this dataset contain?</strong></p> <p>This dataset contains over 700 million time-stamped listening events collected from 3.4M anonymised users on the music streaming service Deezer, occurred between March and August 2022. It includes 50k anonymised songs, among the most popular ones on the service as well as their pre-trained embedding vectors, calculated by our internal model. All files are in parquet format which could be read by using <code>pandas.read_parquet</code> function.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What could this dataset be used for?</strong></p> <p>This dataset could be used for collaborative filtering as well as sequential recommendation (including both next-item and next-session recommendations).</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Citation</strong></p> <p>If you use this dataset, please cite following paper:</p> <pre><span>@inproceedings</span>{<span>tran-recsys2024</span>, <span>title</span>=<span><span>{</span>Transformers Meet ACT-R: Repeat-Aware and Sequential Listening Session Recommendation<span>}</span></span>, <span>author</span>=<span><span>{</span>Viet-Anh Tran, Guillaume Salha-Galvan, Bruno Sguerra and Romain Hennequin<span>}</span></span>, <span>booktitle</span> = <span><span>{</span>Proceedings of the 18th ACM Conference on Recommender Systems<span>}</span></span>, <span>year</span> = <span><span>{</span>2024<span>}</span></span> }</pre>
Binaural auralizations of listening experiment stimuli (Envelopment / Engulfment / Spatial Granular Synthesis)
<p>Binaural auralizations of experiment stimuli with KU100 BRIRs, measured at the listening position of the experiments in the IEM CUBE (25-channel loudspeaker hemisphere). The files are 2-channel WAVs for headphone playback.</p>
Data from: Listening to tropical forest soils
<p>Passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) has proven to be an effective tool for monitoring biotic soundscapes in the marine, terrestrial, and aquatic realms. Recently it has been suggested that it could also be an effective method for monitoring soil fauna, but has so far been used in only four studies in temperate and polar regions. We present the first study of soil soundscapes in tropical forests, using a novel analytical pipeline allowing for the use of <em>in-situ</em> recording of soundscapes with minimal soil disturbance. We found significant differences in soil soundscapes between burnt and unburnt forests and the first indications of a diel cycle in soil soundscapes. These promising results and methodological advances highlight the potential of PAM for large-scale and long-term monitoring of soil biodiversity. We use the results to discuss research priorities, including relating soil biophony to biodiversity, community structure and ecosystem functioning, and the use of appropriate hardware and analytical techniques.</p>
