MCR LTER: Coral Reef: Temperature and Salinity subset of moorings FOR01, FOR04 and FOR05 from 2005-2014
This dataset is derived as a subset from three separate much larger more complex datasets: knb-lter-mcr.30, knb-lter-mcr.31, and knb-lter-mcr.32. Sampling began in 2005 and continues (as of 2019) for those time series. This dataset knb-lter-mcr.1040 was an experimental workflow that ended with 2014 data. Moored instrumentation measures water temperature and salinity year-round on the forereef of Moorea, French Polynesia at sites FOR01, FOR04 and FOR05 on the forereef of the north, east, and west shores, respectively. Data are interpolated onto a 20 minute grid. The two moored CTD packages are located approximately 5 and 14 meters above the bottom, and there are up to 5 additional temperature thermistors spaced vertically along the mooring line. This material is based upon work supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation under Grant No. OCE 16-37396 (and earlier awards) as well as a generous gift from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. Research was completed under permits issued by the French Polynesian Government (Délégation à la Recherche) and the Haut-commissariat de la République en Polynésie Francaise (DTRT) (Protocole d'Accueil 2005-2018). This work represents a contribution of the Moorea Coral Reef (MCR) LTER Site.
Abundance of eukaryote picophytoplankton and Synechococcus from a moored submersible flow cytometer at Martha's Vineyard Coastal Observatory, ongoing since 2003 (NES-LTER since 2017)
This is a decadal-scale time series of the abundance of eukaryote picophytoplankton and Synechococcus at 4 meters depth at the Martha's Vineyard Coastal Observatory, about 3 km south of Katama Beach, Edgartown, Massachusetts, USA. Picophytoplankton were sensed in situ by a submersible flow cytometer (FlowCytobot, or FCB). Sampling frequency was continuous at approximately 20-minute intervals binned to hourly resolution with some exceptions (e.g., winter in some years). This time series is ongoing for Northeast U.S. Shelf Long-Term Ecological Research (NES-LTER).
SBC LTER: Ocean: Ocean Currents and Biogeochemistry: Moored CTD and ADCP data from Arroyo Quemado, Site AQM
ADCP (Currents), CTD (Hydrography) and Optics (Fluorescence, Beam Attenuation, and Volume Scattering Function) data were collected year-round on the reef at Arroyo Quemado in the Santa Barbara Channel. The data contained here is for sampling site AQM, occupied for ~3 years, until kelp cover increased and obstucted flow to the reef. The mooring was moved about 200m to the SE in November 2004 to a new site named ARQ (data in package id knb-lter-sbc.2005). Data have been interpolated to a 20 min interval. ADCP data are orgainized into 1-meter bins, measured as height from the bottom, to a maximum of 16 bins. All bins may not be filled,and in some cases, data from bins technically above the surface are included. VSF data are available at angles, 100, 125 and 150 degrees. CTD parameters include Pressure, Temperature, Conductivity, Salinity, Density and Fluorescence. The CTD array is located approximately 4.5 meters from the surface, and there are additional temperature thermistors near the CTD array, at the bottom, and mid way between these two.

Moored current and temperature measurements in the Southern Adriatic Sea at mooring site BB and FF, March 2012-June 2020
<p>This data set includes n.4 files (NetCDF format) containing observational data and related metadata from two mooring sites, sites BB and FF, located in the Southern Adriatic Sea from the period from March 2012 to June 2020. The stand-alone moorings are equipped with an ADCP-RDI system which measures currents along the last 100 meters of the water column and a CTD probe located approximatively 10 m above the bottom. Moorings were configured and maintained for continuous long-term monitoring following the approach of the CIESM Hydrochanges Program (www.ciesm.org/marine/programs/hydrochanges.html). The moorings are currently operational as from 2021 they have joined the southern Adriatic submarine observatory of EMSO-ERIC European Consortium. The data are described in data paper Paladini et al., (In prep): Deep water hydrodynamic observations of two moorings sites on the continental slope of the Southern Adriatic Sea (Mediterranean Sea). </p>
