Loss of socioemotional and occupational roles in people with Long COVID according to sociodemographic and clinical factors: Secondary data from Randomized Clinical Trial.
<p>This is a cross-sectional study was carried out with the participation of 100 patients diagnosed with Long-COVID, over 18 years of age and attended by Primary Health Care in the Autonomous Community of Aragon. The purpose of this study is to analyse the loss of socioemotional and occupational roles that people with Long COVID have suffered in their lives as a consequence of the disease. As a secondary objective, it was proposed to analyze the sociodemographic and clinical factors associated with this loss of roles. The main study variable was the loss of significant socioemotional and occupational roles of the participants. Sociodemographic and clinical data were also collected through a structured interview.</p>

Market Analysis for the creation of an NGO for professional qualification of People with Hearing Impairment
<p>The data set is part of the TCC of the MBA course at USP - University of São Paulo. This paper studied the creation of an NGO to train people with hearing impairments. The research was carried out with people with hearing impairment in the city of Londrina, in the state of Paraná, Brazil.<br> Participants were asked about their degree of deafness, educational context and their knowledge of the main skills that are being sought by employers nowadays; such skills were based on the Future of Jobs 2023 report, published by the World Economic Forum in May, 2023.</p>
Dataset: Challenges, Strengths, and Strategies of People with ADHD in Software Engineering: A Case Study
<p>This dataset accompanies the paper "Challenges, Strengths, and Strategies of People with ADHD in Software Engineering: A Case Study". It contains interview guides as well as anonymous interview transcripts for six interviewees who explicitly consented to the publication.</p> <p>Specifically:</p> <ul> <li>Interview transcripts are Excel files starting with "<strong>interview</strong>".</li> <li>The interview instruments used for the 19 interviews are named "<strong>interview_guide_professionals</strong>" followed by a version number. V1 was used for the first 3 interviews, V2 for the 9 following interviews, and V3 for the remaining 7.</li> <li><strong>manager_feedback_guide.pdf</strong> is the interview guide used for discussions with the 4 managers. The preliminary results we showed them are depicted in <strong>01_challenges_themes_relations_noStrat_v2</strong>, <strong>02_strengths_themes_relations_v1</strong> and <strong>02_strengths_themes_relations_v2</strong></li> <li><strong>consent_form.pdf</strong> is a PDF version of the online form used to handle consent and intake of interviewees.</li> </ul>

The quantification and analysis of selected NCPs was performed based on selected indicators using data from the case studies within the AquaVitae project and literature reviews.</p>
Characterization of the anti-spike IgG immune response to COVID-19 vaccines in people with a wide variety of immunodeficiencies
<p>Research on COVID-19 vaccination in immune-deficient/disordered people (IDP) has primarily focused on cancer and organ transplantation populations. In a prospective cohort of 195 IDP and 35 healthy volunteers, anti-spike IgG was detected in 88% of IDP post-dose 2, increasing to 93% by six months post-dose 3. Despite high seroconversion, median IgG levels for IDP never surpassed 1/3 that of healthy volunteers. IgG binding to Omicron BA.1 was lower than all other variants. Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 pseudo-neutralization (% inhibition) was only modestly correlated with anti-spike IgG concentration. IgG levels were not significantly altered by participants' use of different mRNA-based vaccines, immunomodulating treatments, and prior SARS-CoV-2 infections. While our data show that three doses of COVID-19 vaccinations induce anti-spike IgG in most IDP, additional doses are needed to achieve the levels of protection in healthy volunteers. Due to the strikingly reduced IgG response to Omicron BA.1, the efficacy of additional vaccinations, including bivalent vaccines, should be studied in this population.</p>
Mapping Nature's Contributions to People provided by Low Trophic Species aquaculture and knowledge gaps
<p>This dataset was generated by the work on quantification of Nature’s Contributions to People (NCPs) provided by Low Trophic Species (LTS) aquaculture. As a first step of this work, the identification of the NCPs provided by LTS aquaculture (based on the case studies investigated within AquaVitae) and the identification of current knowledge gaps in terms of qualitative contributions of LTS aquaculture to the NCPs was performed based on expert judgements and literature review.</p> <p>The ecosystem services framework from IPBES – Nature’s Contributions to People was adopted in this work.</p>

At the time, Iwas researching for a religious programme, for the radio and by pure chance and good luck, Iwas in the centre of York at the time the street preacher was there. Iam building up a personal library of 'ambient sounds' to use on various radio shows as 'sound effects'. The recording was taken outside St Helen's Church in St Helen's Square, in the centre of York. There was a fairly large crowd walking about, shopping. It was a Saturday. Some people were standing and listening to the man, some were mocking him, others didn't even notice. It was a sunny day, with a slight wind. St Helen's square is a large 'meeting place' for people with seats, flowers and usually musicians. I live in the centre of York and hear a lot of very interesting sounds there, everything from busking musicians, to many foreign languages, church bells, animals and much more. Ireally liked the recording of the preacher as it is quite clear that he passionately believes what he is saying. He was unaware that Iwas recording him. Iwish Ihad captured his whole sermon. I'm always interested how people fit into their world and how they affect their world. I'm a graphic designer who works in the same building as the printing presses that I recorded. Iwalk past the presses every day on my way to talk to the folks in the prepress department. I'm on friendly but not drinking terms with the pressmen. I'm a friend with the prepress manager. Three Heidelberg presses are installed side by side in an open warehouse-like room. The presses are about twenty feet long and about five feet high. With their series of four humps or mounds where each printing cylinder is located, the presses remind one of giant, gray, mechanical caterpillars. Each press has a cyan cylinder, a magenta cylinder, a yellow cylinder and a black cylinder – so the humps are brightly colored. The presses are well lit by banks of fluorescent lights hanging from the ceiling over each press. When you walk into the press room you hear the sound of rock music blaring from a boom box radio mixed with the general din of the presses. It is only when you walk up to a press like Idid for the recordings that you really start to hear the individual strains of clicking, clacking and mechanical, syncopated chattering. When I made my recordings I was intrigued by the subtle variations in the sounds produced by these machines that aren't apparent when you first walk through the door. The pressmen were kind enough to allow me to walk right up to the presses and poke my microphone quite close to the rotating press cylinders. Iuse a Danish Pro Audio microphone about the size of a pencil eraser. An extremely sensitive mic with the capacity for capturing loud sounds such as the presses up close. Reaching and grasping objects in depth for people with stereovision deficits and healthy controls.
<p>Decades of research into hand-object interaction and manipulation skills has yielded fundamental insights with applications in robotics and motor learning. Nevertheless, integrating visual function (especially binocular function, important to perceive depth) into this equation is crucial, forming a triangle between vision, reaching, and object manipulation.</p> <p> </p> <p>The ReGraD dataset provides kinematic data during hand-object interaction in monocular and binocular conditions at different depths and monocular/binocular conditions. It comprises two sub-datasets: ReGraD A (two measurements) can determine its test-retest reliability, whilst ReGraD B (one measurement) can characterize individuals with and without visual disorders. ReGraD includes 35 controls and 3 patients with amblyopia aged 6 to 35.</p> <p> </p> <p>The ReGraD dataset may aid to (1) gain insights into hand-object interaction under various eye conditions and depths, (2) assess reliability and reproducibility and (3) examine the effects of groups (control vs. patients) and age, among others. The ReGraD dataset contains raw data that can also be used to develop algorithms for data segmentation and data interpolation in the kinematic field.</p>
