The type specimen of the name K. tubiflora was collected in Mozambique or, possibly, in Madagascar, by either William Fitz William Owen or by John Forbes (see main text for a discussion). A. The species is known to have invasive tendencies and easily becomes established in places well away from its natural geographical distribution range in southern Madagascar (see Shtein et al. 2021: 250, Fig. 9).
