VO1/VO2 MARS VISUAL IMAGING SUBSYSTEM DIGITAL IMAGING MODEL

This digital image map of Mars is a cartographic extension of a previously released set of CD volumes containing individual Viking Orbiter Images (PDS volumes VO_1001, VO_1002, etc.). The data in the latter are pristine, in the sense that they were processed only to the extent required to view them as images. They contain the artifacts and the radiometric, geometric, and photometric characteristics of the raw data transmitted by the spacecraft. This new volume set, on the other hand, contains cartographic compilations made by processing the raw images to reduce radiometric and geometric distortions and to form geodetically controlled Mosaicked Digital Image Models (MDIMs). (Because the photometric processing used in this MDIM was oversimplified, quantitative radiometric analysis on this data is not possible.) It also contains digitized versions of an airbrushed map of Mars as well as a listing of all IAU-approved feature names.

VISUAL IMAGING AND PHOTOMETRY OF (29981) 1999 TD10 V1.0

The outer solar system object (29981) 1999 TD10 was observed in the R band in September 2001, and in B, V, R, and I in October 2002. We derive B- V=0.80+/-0.05mag, V-R=0.48+/-0.05mag, and R-I=0.44+/-0.05mag. Combining our data with the data from Rousselot et. al. 2003, we derive a synodic period of 15.382+/-0.001hr in agreement with the period from Rousselot et. al. 2003. Our observations show no evidence of a coma.

VO1/VO2 MARS VISUAL IMAGING SS EXPRMNT DATA REC BROWSE V2.0

This data set includes sub-sampled versions of Viking Orbiter images that are intended to facilitate rapid viewing of the image collection. The image data in these browse images have been reduced in size by sub-sampling the original image by a factor of 4 in both lines and samples. Thus, the data volume has been reduced by a factor of 16. A Viking Orbiter browse image contains 264 lines and 300 samples. A filtering procedure was used in generating the browse images because Viking Orbiter images commonly contain noisy data or are missing data. The brightness value of a pixel in a browse image is the median brightness value of an array of 4 by 4 pixels from the original image. If the 4 by 4 array of original pixels contained zero values, those zero value pixels were not used in determining the median value. Of course, if the entire 4 by 4 array contained zero value pixels, the corresponding pixel in the browse image was assigned a zero value.

VO1/VO2 MARS VISUAL IMAGING SS EXPRMNT DATA RECORD V2.0

This data set is a digital archive of images acquired by the Viking Orbiter 1 and 2 spacecraft. The archive will include the best available Experiment Data Record (EDR) versions of images acquired by the Viking Orbiter Visual Imaging Subsystems (VIS). The archive is stored on compact read-only optical disk media (CD-ROM) for distribution. The EDR image data are stored on CD-ROM in a compressed format that allows exact reconstruction of the original image. The images were compressed in order to reduce the number of CD-ROMs required for the archive. The average Viking Orbiter image is compressed by a factor of about 3.5. Each CD-ROM in the archive also includes documentation about the organization and contents of the disk. Software is included to provide programmers with tools to decompress image files. The CD-ROM has index files containing information about all the images stored in the archive. These index files can be loaded into a database management system to help the user locate images of interest.

Dog visual perception of faces, objects and phase-scrambled images, measured with non-invasive electroencephalography

<p>This is the dataset used in the publication of Kujala MV, Kauppi J-P, T&ouml;rnqvist&nbsp;H, Helle L, Vainio O, Kujala&nbsp;J, Parkkonen&nbsp;L (2020).&nbsp;Time-resolved classification of dog brain signals reveals early processing of faces, species and emotion. Scientific reports 10, 19846 (2020). https://doi.org/10.1038/s41598-020-76806-8.</p> <p>The dataset is electroencephalography data, measured non-invasively from the surface of the head from eight different dogs; and its supporting files. The data has been measured with 7-9 EEG electrodes; only the data from 7 EEG channels were used in the analysis. During the measurement, dogs were free to move; they were not restrained in any way.&nbsp;Instead, they were trained with positive operant conditioning to lie down and lean their head on a chin rest for short periods of time, during which they were shown still images from a computer screen. The stimuli were shown, in pseudo-randomized order, in eight different presentation scenarios, within 5 separate stimulus blocks per scenario,&nbsp;15&ndash;20 stimuli per block. Between the stimulus blocks, dogs were always rewarded with a treat; this has caused major movement artifacts on the data between the stimulus blocks.&nbsp;Different presentation scenarios were shown in different days and repeated twice. Please refer to the above publication for further details of the experiment.</p> <p>The trigger is the same across all the stimuli; thus, separate scenario stimulus identifier lists were used in determining the stimulus order; please refer to the README.txt file and PresentationScenarios.xlsx files for further details.</p> <p>The dataset also contains anatomical magnetic resonance images of one dog, which was used in the aforementioned publication for source localization.</p> <p>If you have further questions regarding the data or the acquisition, please do not hesitate to contact the authors of the original publication.</p>
