Unmerged reflections from XFEL thermolysin experiment in DIALS and mmCIF format

Unmerged reflections from an XFEL dataset collected on thermolysin crystals in Feb 2013, as part of LCLS experiment L785.

Raw CSPAD images were processed using cctbx.xfel/DIALS as described in cxi.db entry 81, which includes integrated intensities for each image. These intensities were then scaled and post-refined by the program cctbx.xfel.merge, then saved as unmerged data in DIALS format.

This is a work in progress. Full processing details and an unmerged mmCIF file will be provided here in a new version of this dataset.

IODP Expedition 350 Color reflectance

Color reflectance data were measured on section halves using an integration sphere and a UV-VIS spectrophotometer mounted on the Section Half Multisensor Logger (SHMSL). Spectral counts are recorded in the range of 380 to 700 nm, covering the visible spectrum, and binned in ~2 nm bins. Spectral data are reduced from spectra and recorded in tristimulus XYZ values, CieLAB L*a*b* values, and other units.

BRDF Database - Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function

Introduction

The MERL BRDF database contains reflectance functions of 100 different materials. Each reflectance function is stored as a densely measured Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF).

Sample code to read the data is included with the database (readBRDF.cpp). Note that parameterization of theta-half has changed.

At a Glance

The size of the unzipped dataset is ~3.25GB

Folder “brdfs” contains the data. Folder “code” contains sample code.

Citation

If you use the BRDF dataset in your research, please cite our contribution:

@article {Matusik:2003, author = "Wojciech Matusik and Hanspeter Pfister and Matt Brand and Leonard McMillan", title = "A Data-Driven Reflectance Model", journal = "ACM Transactions on Graphics", year = "2003", month = jul, volume = "22", number = "3", pages = "759-769" }

License

The BRDF dataset is released under CC-BY-SA-4.0 license.

All data:

Created by Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL), 2003, 2007, 2023 SPDX-License-Identifier: CC-BY-SA-4.0

Dataset for publication "In Situ Monitoring of the Al(110)-[EMImCl]:AlCl3 Interface by Reflection Anisotropy Spectroscopy"

Dataset are obtained from Reflection anisotropy spectroscopy, CV, SEM/EDX, and computaitonal RAS

The data are sorted according to the Figures of the paper.

Abstract of the paper:

Recently, Al-batteries (AlBs) have become promising candidates for post-lithium batteries, with [EMImCl]:AlCl3 (1:1.5) as the most commonly used electrolyte. However, progress in the development of AlBs is currently hindered by the lack of understanding of its solid-electrolyte interface. Monitoring the structure of this interface under operational conditions by complementary spectroscopy could help to identify and overcome bottlenecks of the system. Reflection anisotropy spectroscopy (RAS), an optical in situ technique, provides access to physical and chemical properties of electrochemical interfaces on an atomistic level. Herein, we report the first example of RAS as an in situ characterization technique for non-aqueous battery systems, investigating an Al(110)-based model system. During chemical pre-treatment in [EMImCl]:AlCl3 , the Al(110) surface passivation film is modified. The oxide film is partially etched while an inhomogeneous passivation layer forms, increasing the surface roughness. Upon electrochemical cycling, applied potential-dependent oscillations of the anisotropy are observed and demonstrate the applicability of RAS to monitor phenomena such as plating/stripping and surface passivation in real-time.
