Database of EMG signals extracted from four hand movements

The database is composed of samples of EMG signals captured from 4 hand movements performed by two people: Participant 1 and Participant 2. Participant 1 has cerebral palsy, while the other does not have any diagnosed disability. The signals were captured by two pairs of bipolar electrodes and two Olimex Shield EMG / EKG plates (ch1 and ch2), each channel represents the potential difference between two electrodes where the first pair (ch1) was positioned at the ends of the lower muscle of the anti-arm. And the second (ch2), in posterior muscle of the anti-arm. All movements were performed with the arm at rest and the palm pointing upwards. There are two files for each movement ('Movimento'_ch1 and' Movimento'_ch2) where each line of the file represents a signal of 1600 samples of the movement performed. each file has 1600 samples (400 for each movement).

The movements are:

<ROTULOS> <MOVEMENT> <DESCRIPTION>

           1 --------- Open (123 amostars) --------------- open the palm

2 --------- Bass (127 samples) ----------------- move open hand down

3 --------- Up (119 samples) -------------------- move open hand up

           4 --------- Close (131 samples) ---------------- Close hand

Finger kinematics of natural hand movements recorded by an exoskeleton data glove in younger and elderly persons

The data set provides measurements using a SenseGlove DK1.3 exoskeleton data glove while healthy younger and elderly participants performed natural hand movements. Specifically, participants were asked to perform six types of hand-movements where each finger (index to little, i.e., D2-D5) was used once per trial to perform a grip movement together with the thumb (D1) resulting in a sequence of four finger movements per trial.

Supplementary material for "Effects of hand postures on voice directivity"

The repository contains measured voice directivities while performing static hand postures. The directivities were measured in the anechoic chamber of TH Köln applying a surrounding spherical microphone array, which has a diameter of
2 m and a shape of a pentakis dodecahedron. The datasets were stored in the SOFA-format and include two measurements for each of the 13 subjects.

Each subject's dataset contains directivities of the following conditions

REF: Reference measurement - normal articulation of an [a].

HFM: Holding a hand in front of the mouth while articulating an [a].

CAM: Cupping the hand around the mouth while articulating an [a].

The .pdf file contains

general information on the voice directivity files in the SOFA format

information on the indices and names of the SOFA-files

Polar plots of the directivity patterns in third-octave bands

The .zip files contain

voice directivity patterns in the SOFA format sampled on the sparse measuring grid

voice directivity patterns in the SOFA format upsampled to a dense grid

The Matlab script provides

an example reading a dataset, performing spatial upsampling if required, and creating some basic plots.
