Women of Steel right-hand head
This is a scan of the head of the rightmost woman on the wonderful Women of Steel sculpture outside Sheffield City Hall, in Sheffield city centre, in the UK. It celebrates the importance of women in the Sheffield steel industry, especially during the world wars when the industry would have ground to a halt without them. If you like this model please read more about it on the blog page below: http://parth3d.co.uk/women-of-steel-right-hand-head Please note that this scan is provided without any license for commercial use. It is intended simply as a model you can have the fun of printing yourself. And of course it is intended to be a motivation for you to visit Sheffield yourself. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
A 3UPS/S Spherical Parallel Manipulator Designed for Robot Assisted Hand Rehabilitation after Stroke

Hand dysfunction is a common symptom in stroke patients. This paper presents a robotic device which assists rehabilitation process in order to reduce the need of physical therapy, i.e., a 3UPS/S parallel robotic device is employed for repetitive robot-assisted rehabilitation. Euler angle representation was used to solve the robot's inverse kinematics. The robot's joint space and rotational workspace are determined for two scenarios. In the first scenario, the workspace is obtained considering the actuator’s stroke limitations, while in the second scenario, the workspace is determined by adding a second condition, i.e. the range of motion of the spherical joints. Singularity analysis is performed using geometric algebra approach. The robot was manufactured using additive manufacturing technology. The solution of the inverse kinematic problem is employed to control the robot. The robot can perform full range of motion during wrist ulnar deviation and radial deviation motions, with the exception of limited wrist flexion and extension motions. The robot has singular configurations within its workspace. Although the spherical joints have roles in reducing the workspace, the primary causes are actuator selection, radiuses of base and moving platforms and the length of the central leg. These factors can be considered to improve the workspace. Singularity can be avoided by carefully selecting the rotation of the moving platform about Z-axis and avoiding same leg lengths.

Ganesh - Hand Sculpted Soap
A man was sitting under a tree just in front of small local attraction, the *Lakshmi Narasimha Temple* in Karnataka, not far from the Hampi village in India. He was selling bars of soaps that he has sculpted with different indian deities. I think I paid around 50 rupees (1$ CAD), I didn't bargain on this item. Neanderthal Hand Axe
Flint hand axe found in Boscombe, Hampshire. Our distant cousins, the Neanderthals continued the handaxe tradition but made them in a slightly different way. The handaxes they produced tended to be slightly smaller and sub-triangular in shape, with a flat base. Nordic Shield Two Handed
A Nordic shield made from steel and wood. This shield has the arm and hand grip. Many had just a hand grip. Typical Viking shields were 80-90cm (32-36 inches) in diameter. Some were larger, such as the Gokstad shields, which were 94cm (37in) across. Based on surviving remnants, some shields appear to have been as small as 70cm (28in) in diameter. Presumably when a man made a shield for himself, he sized it to fit his body size and fighting style. A shield needs to be big enough to provide the desired protection but no bigger. A shield too small exposes additional lines of attack that an opponent might exploit, while a shield too large slows the defensive responses and exhausts the fighter unnecessarily. Hand Painted Whiteware Rim Sherd
Hand Painted Whiteware (Possible Plate or Saucer) Rim Sherd (burned rim) By: William Drumm (Public History Intern), Marcus Lastname (Volunteer), Andrew Carter (Curator of Collections) This sherd was recovered from UWG's campus in 1998 as part of an archaeological fieldschool that sought to investigate the Bonner Plantation and the original location of the "Bonner House." Whiteware ceramics, like this rim sherd, were first developed in England around 1810 and by the mid-19th century could be considered the most familiar earthenware in the U.S. (and remains common to this day!). Whiteware ceramics are characteristically stark white and their glazes are typically clear (though some color may be visible in areas that sees the glaze pooling). There are a number methods used to decorate the surfaces of whiteware ceramics. Here, we see part of a floral motif that was hand painted using a cobalt-oxide underglaze. The edge of the rim also appears to have been burned. Take a look! Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
