Groups correspond to <i>Dipteropeltis longicaudatus</i> <b>sp. nov.</b> adults (I) and juveniles (II), as well as <i>Dipteropeltis hirundo</i> (III). Specimen I.2 is the holotype (MUSM 5128). Specimen II.1 was found on host <i>Brycon amazonicus</i>; no measurements were taken before its loss. Gravid specimens denoted with asterisk (*). Measurements and ratios are based on Neethling <i>et al</i>. 2014: abdomen length (AL), abdomen split length (ASL), carapace split length (CSL), distance from head to abdominal lobe end (HA), distance from head to carapace lobe end (HC), and sucker diameter (SD).
