Barca mercante rusa "Medora" (1874)

Partes semi enterradas de un casco de embarcación atribuidos a la barca mercante de nacionalidad rusa "Medora", varada a la costa de la Bahía de Maldonado en noviembre de 1874, con una carga de cenizas. Los restos se encuentran en la orilla en frente a parada 9,5 de la Playa Mansa, revelándose solamente en las bajantes de la marea. Son muchas las historias que cercan ese patrimonio, y hay quien diga que puede tratarse de la barca francesa "Granville", procedente de Europa con carga de vinos, naufragada en el mismo año.
