The Model Grid for The atmosphere of HD 149026b: Low metal-enrichment and weak energy transport

This grid contains cloud-free 1-dimensional radiative-convective-thermochemical equilibrium atmosphere models created using the Python-based code PICASO. The parameters varied for this grid are the atmospheric metallicity ([M/H]), Carbon-to-Oxygen ratio (C/O), heat redistribution factor (rfacv), and the intrinsic temperature of the planet (Tint). The ranges of these parameters have been outlined in the paper.

The profile and spectra are provided for each model as a .dat file. Each profile contains the temperature and abundance for a variety of chemicals at each of the 91 pressure levels modeled for the atmosphere. The spectra file contains the wavelength in microns, transit depth, eclipse depth, and emission flux from the planet in ergs/s/cm^3. The isolated planetary thermal emission spectrum needs to be multiplied by 1e6 to be in ppm. There are four types of models, ones with VO, ones with TiO, ones with TiO and VO, and ones without TiO or VO. The files are labeled based on each of the 4 atmospheric parameters and whether they contain TiO and VO.

Note on TiO: The inclusion of gaseous TiO in the atmosphere was found to cause strong inversions in the temperature-pressure profile and a worse fit of the thermal emission spectrum to the data. This finding has been described in the paper.

The influence of waves on morphodynamic impacts of energy extraction at a tidal stream turbine site in the Pentland Firth: MIKE3 HD result files

This dataset consists of the MIKE3 HD result files from simulations conducted for the paper 'The influence of waves on morphodynamic impacts of energy extraction at a tidal stream turbine site in the Pentland Firth' ( https://doi.org/10.1016/j.renene.2018.02.035 )

Sets of 2D area result files are provided for sediment transport results (ST in file name), hydrodynamic results (HD in file name) and spectral wave results (SW in file name) in different datasets. This dataset contains HD files.

Each file name provides details of the resuls contained: time of simulation (Jan or Jun); presence (Turb) or abscence (NoTurb) of tidal stream turbines in the simulations; and inclusion of waves in the simulations (tideAndWave or tide_only).

Details of the methodology are given in the above paper. Please reference the paper in any use of these results.

Implementation of Aerosol Mie Scattering in POSEIDON with Application to the hot Jupiter HD 189733 b's Transmission, Emission, and Reflected Light Spectrum - Supplementary Material

Supplementary material to 'Implementation of Aerosol Mie Scattering in POSEIDON with Application to the hot Jupiter HD 189733 b’s Transmission, Emission, and Reflected Light Spectrum'

This zenodo repository corresponds to the updates to POSEIDON presented in Mullens et al 2024, as well as the benchmark retrievals preformed on archival HD 189733 b.

In the upper level of the repository we have data products mentioned in the paper:

aersosol_database.pdf
Aerosol-Database-Readme.txt
aerosol_database.hdf5

There are then three directories (here as zip files):

Aerosol-Datbase
- This folder contains the aerosol properties for aerosols in Table 1 in the paper. It contains the aerosol-database.hdf5 which contains the precomputed aerosol properties that POSEIDON utilizes in forward models and retrievals, a folder containing the npy files that have individual precomputed aerosol properties (used to generate the hdf5 file), a pdf containing the refractive indices + precomputed aerosol properties for each aerosol in the database (png versions of these figures are available in the Aerosol-Optical-Properties-Pngs folder), the refractive index txt files for each aerosol, and a readme file that contains information on each aerosol in the database (such as aerosol name, polymorph, crystalline or amorphous, crystal shape, information on samples used in refractive index references, and exoplanet/planetary science specific references).

HD-189733b-Retrievals
- Contains retrieval scripts and retrieval results for the transmission, emission, and emission+reflection retrievals in the paper. Also has the notebooks used to make the figures in the paper.

POSEIDO-V1-2
- Contains the POSEIDON module used to run retrievals and generate figures, and corresponds to POSEIDON version 1.2. Also contains a folder containing tutorial notebooks for new features introduced into POSEIDON version 1.2. Included in this repository for posterity.
