Eglise Notre Dame de la Couldre, Parthenay (79)
C'est une ancienne église paroissiale de style roman, datée du XIIe siècle. En 1789, elle est vendue comme bien national à Pierre-Jean Andrieux, prêtre défroqué et futur député de Parthenay. Son propriétaire voulut la transformer en filature, ce qui provoqua d'importantes destructions. Les sculptures provenant de cet édifice sont dispersées et exposées dans différents musées, à la suite de leur vente au début du xxe siècle.  The church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Couldre is a former parish church of Romanesque style, dating from the twelfth century. In 1789, it was sold as national property to Pierre-Jean Andrieux, a defrocked priest and future deputy of Parthenay. Its owner wanted to transform it into a spinning mill, which caused great destruction.
