Adapting the informed push model to the last mile of the contraceptive supply chain in the Democratic Republic of Congo: Pilot study results

This dataset includes stockout information for nine contraceptives in health facilities in the Katana Health Zone in the South Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Information recorded includes availability of contraceptives, occurance and duration of stockouts, and transportation costs for contraceptives. Pilot study results revealed there was no statistically significant difference in availability of contraceptives at the beginning and end of the study period. However, there was a sharp decline in stockout duration and monthly transportation costs. Data was organized as a .dta STATA file in long format, then exported as a CSV file. The dataset includes information on availability of contraceptives, occurance and duration of stockouts and transportation costs. Key abbreviations include IUD (intrauterine device) and EC (emergency contraception). All costs were reported in US dollars.
