Serum uric acid levels and anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis
<p><strong>Figure 1 </strong>Serum UA in anti-NMDAR encephalitis, MS, NMO, and PD patients were significantly decreased compared with CTLs (p < 0.001, p < 0.001, p < 0.001, and p = 0.013, respectively).</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Figure 2 </strong>Serum UA in anti-NMDAR encephalitis patients, age- and sex-matched CTLs and anti-NMDAR encephalitis patients at follow-up. Serum UA levels in anti-NMDAR encephalitis patients at initial admission were significantly lower than in age- and sex-matched CTLs (p < 0.001), and significantly lower than in anti-NMDAR encephalitis patients after treatment (p < 0.05). Serum UA levels in anti-NMDAR encephalitis patients after treatment had normalized compared with CTLs, and the difference between the two groups was no longer significant.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Figure 3</strong> (A) Changes in serum UA levels in anti-NMDAR encephalitis patients between initial admission and follow-up after treatment.
