Study of the Guided Wave Sensing by Hybrid Piezoelectric-FBG Approach
<p><span>The objects of the investigation was the panel with dimensions: 1000 mm × 1000 mm × 1 mm made out of aluminium alloy. Elastic waves generation was conducted by piezoceramic actuator (PZT A) in the form of disc. Three diameters of actuators were investigated 10 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm. Actuator was located in the middle of the top surface of the panel</span><span>. The elastic wave sensing was conducted by pair of FBG sensors (on the top and bottom surfaces of panel)</span><span>. Excitation signal – five cycles of sine modulated by Hann window function (tone burst). Excitation frequencies 60 kHz 250 kHz with step 10 kHz. Attached folder contains the data and description file with figure.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>The measurements were conducted under the research related to grant agreement no. <strong>2020/39/B/ST8/01753</strong> in the frame of the OPUS project entitled: "Study of elastic wave mode sensing and separation using FBG sensors for structural health monitoring ", supported by the <strong>National Science Centre, Poland</strong>.</span></p>

Superior Survival of Fully Cemented Fixation Compared to Hybrid Fixation in a Single Design Rotating Hinge Knee Implant
<p><span>Dataset with 275 RT-PLUS® rotating hinge knee implants (Smith and Nephew, Memphis, TN, USA) in 269 patients (60 primary procedures, 215 revisions). Of the 275 implants, 248 had a uniform fixation technique for both components (148 fully hybrid, 100 fully cemented), while 27 implants had a mixed fixation technique for the components (15 hybrid femur and fully cemented tibia, 12 fully cemented femur and hybrid tibia). Outcome was revision for aspectic loosening. The median follow-up was 7.3 ± 3.9 years, with a minimum of 2 years for non-failed implants. </span></p>

Predictability and parallelism in the contemporary evolution of hybrid genomes
<p>Hybridization between species is widespread across the tree of life. As a result, many species, including our own, harbor regions of their genome derived from hybridization. Despite the recognition that this process is widespread, we understand little about how the genome stabilizes following hybridization, and whether the mechanisms driving this stabilization tend to be shared across species. Here, we dissect the drivers of variation in local ancestry across the genome in replicated hybridization events between two species pairs of swordtail fish: <em>Xiphophorus birchmanni </em>× <em>X. cortezi</em> and <em>X. birchmanni </em>× <em>X. malinche</em> . We find surprisingly high levels of repeatability in local ancestry across the two types of hybrid populations. This repeatability is attributable in part to the fact that the recombination landscape and locations of functionally important elements play a major role in driving variation in local ancestry in both types of hybrid populations. Beyond these broad scale patterns, we identify dozens of regions of the genome where minor parent ancestry is unusually low or high across species pairs. Analysis of these regions points to shared sites under selection across species pairs, and in some cases, shared mechanisms of selection. We show that one such region is a previously unknown hybrid incompatibility that is shared across <em>X. birchmanni</em> × <em>X. cortezi</em> and <em>X. birchmanni</em> × <em>X. malinche</em> hybrid populations. </p>
Investigating the utility of Anchored Hybrid Enrichment data to resolve the relationships among the Killifishes (Actinopterygii: Cyprinodontiformes), a globally distributed group of fishes
<p>The Killifishes (Blenniiformes: Cyprinodontoidea) are a diverse and well-known group of fishes that contains sixteen families inclusive of Anablepidae, Aphaniidae Aplocheilidae, Cubanichthyidae, Cyprinodontidae, Fluviphylacidae, Fundulidae, Goodeidae, Nothobranchiidae, Orestiidae, Pantanodontidae, Poeciliidae, Procatopodidae, Profundulidae, Rivulidae, and Valenciidae and more than 1,200 species that are globally distributed in tropical and temperate, freshwater and estuarine habitats. The evolutionary relationships among the families within the group, based on different molecular and morphological data sets, have remained uncertain. Therefore, the objective of this study was to use a targeted approach, anchored hybrid enrichment, to resolve the phylogenetic relationships among the families within the Superfamily Cyprinodontoidea (formerly the Cyprindontiformes). This study included more than 100 individuals, representing all sixteen families within Cyprinodontoidea, including many recently diagnosed families. We recovered an average of 244 loci per individual. These data were submitted to phylogenetic analyses (RaxML and ASTRAL) and although we recovered many of the same relationships as in previous studies of the group, several novel sets of relationships for other families also were recovered. In addition, two well-established clades were recovered as monophyletic and are in agreement with most previous studies. We also assessed the degree of gene tree discordance in our dataset to evaluate support for alternative topological hypotheses for interfamilial relationships within the Cyprinodontoidea using a variety of different analyses. The results from this study will provide a robust, historical framework needed to investigate a plethora of biogeographic, taxonomic, ecological, and physiological questions for this group of fishes.</p>
