CASSINI SS/S RPWS CALIBRATED LP POTENTIAL CURRENT V1.0

The Cassini Radio and Plasma Wave Science (RPWS) Langmuir Probe Sweep voltage-current data set comprises calibrated Voltage-Current (U-I) characteristics acquired almost continuously from most mission phases during the entire Cassini mission. The full data set of Voltage-Current characteristics is intended to become the most comprehensive and complete data set from which thermal plasma parameters can be derived in the Cassini RPWS archive. Data are presented in text tables and are organised so as to have fixed-length records for ease in data handling. These can be used to derive higher level data products like thermal plasma parameters, e.g., electron density and temperature.

CASSINI V/E/J/S/SS RPWS CALIBRATED LOW RATE FULL RES V1.0

The Cassini Radio and Plasma Wave Science (RPWS) calibrated full resolution data set includes all spectral information calibrated in units of spectral density for the entire Cassini mission. This data set includes calibrated values for each frequency channel for each sensor for all times during the mission including the two Venus flybys, the Earth flyby, the Jupiter flyby, interplanetary cruise, and the entire Saturn tour. Data for this data set are acquired from the RPWS Low Frequency Receiver (LFR), Medium Frequency Receiver (MFR), Medium Frequency Digital Receiver (MFDR) (which can be used to replace MFR band 2 data) and High Frequency Receiver (HFR). Data are presented in a set of tables organized so as to have fixed-length records for ease in data handling. This data set is intended to be the most comprehensive and complete data set included in the Cassini RPWS archive. A browse data set is included with these data which provides for a graphical search of the data using a series of thumbnail and full-sized spectrograms which lead the user to the particular data file(s) of interest. This data set should be among the first used by a user of any of the RPWS archive as it will lead one to information required to search for more detailed or highly specialized products.

The SPICE data contains geometric and other ancillary information needed to recover the full value of science instrument data. In particular SPICE kernels provide spacecraft and planetary ephemerides, instrument mounting alignments, spacecraft orientation, spacecraft sequences of events, and data needed for relevant time conversions.

This data set contains calibrated 1 second averaged Cassini magnetometer data, for the entire Cassini mission. These data are provided in Kronographic (KRTP, KSO, KSM) coordinates at Saturn, Geographic coordinates (GSE, GSM) for the Earth flyby, Jovigraphic coordinates for the Jupiter flyby, and RTN coordinates for the entire mission. These data were calibrated and converted to physical coordinates from the Cassini MAG Raw Data Set (CO-E/SW/J/S-MAG-2-REDR-RAW-DATA-V1.0), by the Cassini MAG team at Imperial College. The data averaged to 1 second at the PDS-PPI node at UCLA.

CASSINI S INMS TELEMETRY PACKET DATA V1.0

The Cassini Ion and Neutral Mass Spectrometer (INMS) Packet data set contains all telemetry packets as received from the instrument. One standard product data type is defined for each INMS telemetry Packet. In each standard data product. one record is produced for each packet. Each item in the packet is converted from data numbers to dimensional values. The data set contains all science packets for the entire Cassini mission. The data set includes telemetry data from the instrument checkout periods, SOI and the entire Saturn tour.Each standard data product is organized as a spread sheet with one row for each packet. Each column in the spread sheet contains the contents of one item in the telemetry packet, converted from data number to dimensional quantities where appropriate.
