Repository Analytics and Metrics Portal (RAMP) Production Snapshot Dataset, 2018-11-01

<p>The data are publicly available via Globus:&nbsp;<a href="https://app.globus.org/file-manager?origin_id=a40be90c-f8c2-11e8-9340-0e3d676669f4&amp;origin_path=%2F">https://app.globus.org/file-manager?origin_id=a40be90c-f8c2-11e8-9340-0e3d676669f4&amp;origin_path=%2F</a></p> <p>The data consist of a snapshot of the production RAMP Elasticsearch instance [http://ramp.montana.edu/](http://ramp.montana.edu/). The snapshot was taken on November 1, 2018, and consists of 51 indices (one index each for 50 participating institutional repositories (IR) plus one master index or alias that provides computational access to all indices at once). In addition to the snapshot itself, the published dataset includes documentation describing data collection and processing, separate documentation of the requirements and steps to restore the snapshot to a working instance of Elasticsearch, a CSV file listing participating IR and their corresponding Elasticsearch index names, and a Jupyter Notebook with sample Python code for accessing Elasticsearch.</p> <p>The snapshot ID needed to restore the snapshot to a working index is &#39;2018-11-01.&#39; Please see the included file, &#39;restore_RAMP_snapshots.pdf&#39; for more info.</p> <p>Because of the large file size, download via high speed network is recommended.</p> <p>RAMP development was funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) as part of the &quot;Measuring Up&quot; project: IMLS: LG-06-14-0090<br> &nbsp;</p>

Pilot building dataset - "Portal for heritage buildings integration into the contemporary built environment" (URBAN PERISCOPE)

<p>LIM_411</p> <p>Address: Agkiras 147</p> <p>The building, located in the heart of the Turkish Cypriot quarter and very close to the Cami Cedit Mosque, was originally a school for Turkish Cypriot girls. It is unclear when it was built. The buildings surrounding it provided accommodation for the students. At some point it was used as a police station. Today, it functions as the Bi-communal Multi-functional Centre of the Municipality of Limassol.</p> <p>The building&rsquo;s typology is very simple. It is a single-storey building, consisting of two large rooms and a smaller one between them. All three rooms have entrances on both the front and the back of the building. A covered exterior area is created on both sides.</p> <p>The appearance of the building is dominated by visible stone which is used in structural elements and decorative details. The main south entrance is surrounded by a carved stone arc and columns with engraved details. Visible stone can also be found on the frame of the small room&rsquo;s south door, the frames of the windows, the niches, the corners and the base of the building and on its top part under the roof.</p> <p>The walls of the building are made of stone. The floor consists of painted tiles in the covered exterior areas, tiles in the two big rooms and newer wooden parquet in the small room. All the doors and windows are made of wood while the ceilings are made of wooden planks. The roof structure is composed of timber beams and tiles.</p> <p>Newer additions include the plasterboard walls that partly separate the space in the big rooms and the structure at the back of the west room that is used as a sanitary space.</p> <p>The building was included in the catalogue of listed buildings in 2000 for its significance as a Turkish school building with traditional and neo-classical characteristics.</p> <p>&quot;Portal for heritage buildings integration into the contemporary built environment&quot; (URBAN PERISCOPE), is funded by the Cyprus Research &amp; Innovation Foundation Restart Programs 2016-2020 &quot;Integrated Projects&quot;. Satellite Analysis (2013-2020) dataset - "Portal for heritage buildings integration into the contemporary built environment" (URBAN PERISCOPE)

<p>For the needs of the &ldquo;Portal for heritage buildings integration into the contemporary built environment&rdquo;, in short, PERIsCOPE project, satellite observations were applied. This repository includes the results from the macro-scale analysis, for which thermal data, optical satellite images, and ready satellite products were exploited to provide multi-temporal information.</p> <p>Satellite-based products estimate the temperature variations in a broader area for the selected urban testbeds (Limassol and Strovolos municipalities, Cyprus). Landsat 7 and 8 archives were downloaded through the EarthExplorer platform (&ldquo;Landsat Collection 1 Level-1&rdquo; for both &ldquo;Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) Level-1&rdquo; and &ldquo;Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS C1 Level-1&rdquo;). The Level-1 data downloaded from the platform were rescaled to the top of atmosphere (TOA) reflectance and radiance using radiometric rescaling coefficients provided in the metadata file delivered with the Level-1 product (metadata&mdash;MTL file).</p> <p>More than 140 satellite images were selected (a cloud coverage filter was applied), downloaded, and processed, covering the period between 2013 and 2020. Specifically, 16 images during the Winter season, 30 images over Spring, 57 images for Summer, and 38 during Autumn were finally gathered for both case studies.</p> <p>The Google Earth Engine cloud platform infrastructure was used to extract optical products, namely the Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and the Normalised Difference Built-up Index (NDBI), which characterise vegetated and built-up areas, respectively.</p> <p>This repository concerns: (1) the mean Land Surface Temperature (LST) for both test sites (from 2013-2020), their standard deviation, and the maximum and minimum values. In addition, the (2) NDVI and (3) NDBI products per year (2013-2020) are provided. Raw Data for the article: Right vs left portal branch puncture in TIPS creation with controlled expansion covered stent: comparison of hemodynamic and clinical outcomes

<p><strong>Purpose:&nbsp;</strong>To retrospectively compare outcomes of TIPS performed by puncturing left portal vein (LPV) vs right portal vein (RPV) to access the portal system.</p> <p><strong>Materials and methods:&nbsp;</strong>One hundred ninety-three consecutive patients underwent TIPS with controlled expansion covered stent by using the LPV (37 patients) or the RPV (156 patients). Patients were followed until the last clinical evaluation, liver transplantation, or death.</p> <p><strong>Results:&nbsp;</strong>Demographics and clinical characteristics of the two groups were comparable. The median follow-up was 9.6 months (range 0.1-50.6). Portosystemic pressure gradient (PSG) before TIPS 15.7 mmHg &plusmn; 4.7 in RPV group (RPVG) vs 15.4 mmHg &plusmn; 4.5 in LPV group (LPVG) (p = 0.725). After TIPS, PSG 6.3 mmHg &plusmn; 2.8 in RPVG vs 6.2 mmHg &plusmn; 2.2 (p = 0.839). In LPVG, the stent was dilated to 8-mm in 95% of patients vs 77% of RPVG (p = 0.015). Two (5.4%) and 22 (14%) patients underwent TIPS revision in LPVG and RPVG (p = 0.15). The incidence of overt HE was 13% in LPVG and 24% in RPVG (p = 0.177). Rebleeding occurred in 3 of 49 patients (6%) with variceal bleeding as an indication: 2/41 patients (4.9%) in RPVG vs 1/8 patients (12.5%) in LPVG (p = 0.417). Among 126 patients with refractory ascites 20 patients (15.9%) needed paracentesis 3 months after the procedure: 18/101 patients (17.8%) in RPVG vs 2/25 patients (8%) in LPVG (p = 0.231). Thirty-seven patients (19%) died: 32 (21%) in RPVG and 5 (14%) in LPVG (p = 0.337).</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:&nbsp;</strong>Compared with RPV puncture, in TIPS created through the LPV, the targeted PSG was reached with a smaller stent diameter. However, no significant difference in clinical outcomes was observed.</p>

They are an important element of most open data initiatives that have enabled a large amount of government data to be widely available. However, data quantity and quality are not the only aspects that should be considered when publishing data. To improve the reusability of data and to achieve greater impact and benefits from open data, it is important to consider user-oriented aspects of the portal management, discovery, and use of data (e.g., organizing the portal in a user-centric way, providing accurate metadata, using a standardized and open data format, etc.). In this paper, we adopted the metrics proposed by the European Commission to assess compliance of the Croatian Open Data Portal with 10 user-oriented principles that open data portals should implement in terms of sustainability and added value. While the results show the government&rsquo;s efforts in publishing data, some aspects such as better collaboration with data providers and other data portals, offering different visualization tools, etc. need to be improved to achieve active use and impact.</p> <p>Keywords: open data; open data portal; assessment; user experience; data reuse</p>

Analysing the Characteristics of Open Government Data Portals in Croatia

<p>Open government data (OGD) paradigm gained momentum in the recent years resulting in numerous OGD initiatives. These initiatives assured reliable and faster development of open data ecosystem on different administration levels. Diversity of government organizations dealing with different kinds of data, however, resulted in a variety of OGD initiatives. As a direct result, OGD portals developed through these initiatives show different functionalities, characteristics, and quality of provided data and services. This paper therefore aims to provide a better insight into the similarities and differences of data portals by analyzing their characteristics from thematical, semantical, functional, and technological perspective. The methodology used relies on the framework previously developed and implemented in Greece in 2015, consisting of multiple indicators assessing different characteristics of portals, in each of four perspectives. Results of the assessment show Croatian portals have well developed functionalities but also have limitations preventing data reuse. These limitations are mostly related to data discovery and absence of metadata and licenses by the publishing institutions.</p>
