Records were obtained from specimens deposited in DZRJ, DZUP, INPA, MNRJ, and MPEG, as well as from the literature (Young, 1977; Zanol and de Menezes, 1982; Cavichioli and Chiamolera, 1999; McKamey, 2007; Wilson et al., 2009). Dasmeusa flavescens is not included because the only records available for this species are "Brazil" and "Suriname." Dasmeusa pauperata is also recorded from Suriname (McKamey, 2007) and D. mendica is also recorded from French Guiana (Wilson et al., 2009).
