Looking into a dirty window in the ghost town of Bodie California is a abandoned room with a large wing of a barn owl that meet a bad fate by being trapped and paniced. Dead birds are one of the gristly, filthy, diseased, and disturbing things that one finds in ghost towns. Graffiti in the prison of the town of Picón (1)
The model shows some of the graffiti preserved in the prison of the town of Picón (Ciudad Real, Spain). The jail of Picón had two cells located on the ground floor of the City Hall. Its construction dates from the sixteenth century and is one of the few examples that are preserved in La Mancha. On its walls the prisoners recorded numerous graffiti among which we can see deer, crosses, buildings, hearts ... It was in use until the nineteenth century, at which time the Spanish judicial and prison system changed. 3D model made in Reality Capture using 183 images. Palmanova Fortified Town LiDAR
The Italian Friuli-Venezia Giulia region digital terrain model LiDAR for Palmanova. A fortified town built in 1593 by the Venetian Republic using utopian ideals and principles of geometry & strength in architecture. The defences were expanded in 1658-90 & again in 1806-1813. The town forms part of a World Heritage Site including the Italian towns at Bergamo and Pesciera del Garda, together with defences along the eastern Adriatic coast, which make up the Venetian Works of Defence between the 16th and 17th Centuries: Stato da Terra – Western Stato da Mar. Ipswich Town Hall
Officially the only 3D digital model of Ipswich Town Hall ever created. Ipswich Town Hall is a municipal building in Ipswich, in the county of Suffolk, England. It is a Grade II listed building. Ipswich Town Hall c. 1867-68 The first town hall had its origins in a chapel dedicated to St Mildrith which had been converted into a civic building by the insertion of an upper floor in the 18th century. This building together with an adjacent building standing to the east of it were remodelled with a new facade in the Paladian style by Benjamin Catt in 1818. Rauma town hall was originally built as a fire station for volunteer fire department. The city council meetings have been held in the building since the building was finished in 1901. Wherry Town Sign
Wherrytown plaque on the former Mount's Bay Inn, commemorating a vibrant community sited on what was, before 1934, the western boundary of Penzance. Although Wherrytown was indeed 'devastated' by the storm in 1962, the Town Council had been looking for excuses to have it 'swept away' since the late 19th century. Wherrytown was notable 100 years ago for its serpentine manufacture and the grand ceremonial arches which spanned the main road on special occasions; 200 years ago the 'famous Wherry Mine' extracted tin from beneath the rocks exposed at low tide.
