NEW HORIZONS PEPSSI PLUTO ENCOUNTER CALIBRATED V2.0

This data set contains Calibrated data taken by the New Horizons Pluto Energetic Particle Spectrometer Science Investigation instrument during the Pluto encounter mission phase. This is VERSION 2.0 of this data set. This data set contains PEPSSI observations taken during the the Approach (Jan-Jul, 2015), Encounter and Departure mission sub-phases, including flyby observations taken on 14.July, 2015, and including data through 2015 and into January, 2016; the data are limited to those downlinked from the spacecraft as of the end of January, 2016. The rest of the downlinked data for this mission phase will be delivered in a future data set. This is version 2.0 of this data set. Changes since version 1.0 include data downlinked between the end of July, 2015 and the end of January, 2016. Also, updates were made to the documentation and catalog files, primarily to resolve liens from the V1.0 peer review.

VG2 JUP LECP CALIBRATED RESAMPLED SECTORED 15MIN V1.1

This data set consists of resampled data from the Low Energy Charged Particle (LECP) experiment on Voyager 2 while the spacecraft was in the vicinity of Jupiter. This instrument measures the intensities of in-situ charged particles (>26 keV electrons and >30 keV ions) with various levels of discrimination based on energy, mass species, and angular arrival direction. A subset of almost 100 LECP channels are included with this data set. The LECP data are globally calibrated to the extent possible (see below) and they are time averaged to about 15 minute time intervals with the exact beginning and ending times for those intervals matching the LECP instrumental cycle periods (the angular scanning periods). The data is in the form of 'rate' data which has not been converted to the usual physical units. Data records for the version 1.1 data set provide all data for a given channel and time period (8 sectors, plus the average for all sectors) in a single record.

ER2 EARTH AVIRIS CALIBRATED REDUCED DATA RECORD IMAGE V1.0

The Airborne Visible and Infared Imaging Spectrometer (AVIRIS) data are divided into 10x10 square kilometer scenes for purposes of standard product generation. More than 40 scenes were generated during GRSFE, more than 20 of which are included on the CD-ROMs, covering a variety of surfaces. Lunar Crater was covered several times in one day (under clear atmospheric conditions) in order to evaluate atmospheric scattering and absorption removal algorithms and to explore extraction of roughness information using variable incidence angle AVIRIS data. The AVIRIS multi-temporal data were acquired at the same time that ground-based, multi-spectral measurements of atmospheric optical depth, and sky radiance at varying scattering angles were acquired, along with surface bidirectional reflectance data. Accurate wavelength calibration of AVIRIS was performed by JPL using laboratory measurements acquired before and after the AVIRIS flights. An additional check on the wavelength calibration can be made by comparing the positions of known atmospheric absorption features to their locations in actual AVIRIS data.

STARDUST NAVCAM RAW PREFLIGHT CALIBRATION IMAGES V2.0

This dataset contains the raw, preflight, thermal-vacuum calibration images collected by the Navigation Camera (NAVCAM) on 8-10 April 1998 for the Stardust mission. This is version 2.0 of the dataset, in which the original image data were converted from the standard PDS IMG format to the FITS format; no corrections were applied. The NExT mission to comet 9P/Tempel 1 used some of these preflight data to check the exposure time offsets due to shutter reversal and to determine dark current rates. This dataset supersedes version 1.0 which was safed by PDS because the data were not considered to be scientifically useful for the Stardust mission, due to problems encountered during the flight (stuck filter wheel, contamination on the instrument window, etc.) that changed the instrument characteristics.

NEW HORIZONS PEPSSI PLUTO ENCOUNTER CALIBRATED V3.0

This data set contains Calibrated data taken by the New Horizons Pluto Energetic Particle Spectrometer Science Investigation instrument during the Pluto encounter mission phase. This is VERSION 3.0 of this data set. This data set contains PEPSSI observations taken during the the Approach (Jan-Jul, 2015), Encounter, Departure, and Transition mission sub-phases, including flyby observations taken on 14 July, 2015, and departure and calibration data through late October, 2016. This data set completes the Pluto mission phase deliveries for PEPSSI. This is version 3.0 of this dataset. Changes since version 2.0 include the addition of data downlinked between the end of January, 2016 and the end of October, 2016, completing the delivery of all data covering the Pluto Encounter and subsequent Calibration Campaign. Also, updates were made to the calibration files, documentation, and catalog files. Significant changes were made to the PEPSSI packet processing and calibration, too extensive to go into here. Data from all previous data sets should be discarded. Refer to the data set documentation for details about processing of PEPSSI data.

EPOXI EXOPLANET TRANSIT OBS - HRIV CALIBRATED IMAGES V1.0

This data set set contains calibrated images of eight known transiting extrasolar planetary systems (hot Jupiters) acquired by the Deep Impact High Resolution Visible CCD during the EPOCh phase of the EPOXI mission. From 22 January through 31 August 2008 the HRIV CCD collected over 172,000 usable, photometric-quality visible light images of these transiting planet systems: HAT-P-4, HAT-P-7, GJ 436, TrES-2, TrES-3, XO-2, XO-3, and WASP-3. Time series of continuous 50-second integrations were used with the clear filter (#6) to observe each system for about three weeks, typically covering five or more transits as well as secondary eclipses. An exception was XO-3 which was only observed briefly due to the spacecraft entering safe mode. The transiting planet systems were observed in the integrated light of the planet and star; no spatially resolved image of the planet was possible.

CASSINI S MIMI INCA SENSOR CALIBRATED DATA V1.0

The Ion and Neutral Camera (INCA) obtains remote images of the global distribution of energetic ions for energies from 7 keV/nucleon to 8 MeV/nucleon, discriminated according to energy and mass species (oxygen and hydrogen). To obtain the images, INCA measures the arrival directions, energy and mass species of Energetic Neutral Atoms (ENA's) using the relatively new technique of ENA imaging. INCA also can be commanded to obtain very high sensitivity ion measurements, providing the angular, energy and species distributions of in-situ O and H ions. The Cassini Magnetospheric Imaging Instrument(MIMI) Imaging Neutral Camera (INCA) calibrated data set includes all image data collected from the MIMI Data Processing Unit during the Saturn tour. The original data has been decommutated, decoded, calibrated and further processed by software at the Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). The calibrated image data is provided in three forms: an averaged form where the original image N x N pixel images pixels intensity are averaged to a single value for one species and time-of-flight (TOF) combination, browse images which display rows and columns of images for one species and TOF combination, and movies which display averaged ENA image skymaps. Calibration of INCA data has been described fully in the Cassini/MIMI Data User Guide. [VANDEGRIFFETAL2012] This data set should be among the first used by a user of any of the MIMI INCA archive as it will lead one to information required to search for more detailed or highly specialized features in the original data.

DAWN FC1 CALIBRATION IMAGES V1.0

Abstract ======== Framing Camera 1 is one of two identical units flying on Dawn spacecraft. This dataset includes the image files to be used in the calibration of the raw data throughout the mission. These files represent the behaviour of each individual pixel with respect to dark current generation and pixel-to-pixel non-uniformity as a function of the filter. As these are elaborated image products, not obtained from a specific image acquisition, they do not have any ancillary data.
