A Survey of Health Management User Objectives in Aerospace Systems Related to Diagnostic and Prognostic Metrics
One of the most prominent technical challenges to effective deployment of health management systems is the vast difference in user objectives with respect to engineering development. In this paper, a detailed survey on the objectives of different users of health management systems is presented. These user objectives are then mapped to the metrics typically encountered in the development and testing of two main systems health management functions: diagnosis and prognosis. Using this mapping, the gaps between user goals and the metrics associated with diagnostics and prognostics are identified and presented with a collection of lessons learned from previous studies that include both industrial and military aerospace applications.*
SDSS MOVING OBJECT CATALOG V2.0
The Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Moving Object Catalog 3rd release lists astrometric and photometric data for moving objects detected in the SDSS. The catalog includes various identification parameters, SDSS astrometric measurements (five SDSS magnitudes and their errors), and orbital elements for previously cataloged asteroids. The data set also includes a list of the runs from which data are included, and filter response curves.
Near-Earth Object Human Space Flight Accessible Targets Study (NHATS)
This list of potential mission targets should not be interpreted as a complete list of viable NEAs for an actual human exploration mission. As the NEA orbits are updated, the viable mission targets and their mission parameters will change. To select an actual target and mission scenario, additional constraints must be applied including astronaut health and safety considerations, human space flight architecture elements, their performances and readiness, the physical nature of the target NEA and mission schedule constraints.

The dataset contains a summary of polarimetric observations of Transneptunian objects (including Pluto-Charon system) and Centaurs published by March 19, 2013.
SCUBA Legacy Fundamental and Extended Map Object Catalogs
This table contains the SCUBA Legacy Catalogs, two comprehensive sets of source catalogs using data at 850 and 450um of the various astronomical objects obtained with the Submillimetre Common User Bolometer Array (SCUBA) on the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT). The Fundamental Map Data Set contains data only where superior atmospheric opacity calibration data were available. The Extended Map Data Set contains data regardless of the quality of the opacity calibration. Each data set contains 1.2 degrees x 1.2 degrees maps at locations where data existed in the JCMT archive, imaged using the matrix inversion method. The Fundamental Data Set is composed of 1423 maps at 850um and 1357 maps at 450um. The Extended Data Set is composed of 1547 maps at 850um. Neither data set includes high sensitivity, single-chop SCUBA maps of "cosmological fields" nor solar system objects. Each data set was used to determine a respective object catalog, consisting of objects identified within the respective 850um maps using an automated identification algorithm. The Fundamental and Extended Map Object Catalogs contain 5061 and 6118 objects, respectively. Objects are named based on their respective J2000.0 position of peak 850um intensity. The catalogs provide for each object the respective maximum 850um intensity, estimates of total 850um flux and size, and tentative identifications from the SIMBAD Database. Where possible, the catalogs also provide for each object its maximum 450um intensity and total 450um flux and flux ratios. Since the goal of this project was to make maps and then catalog objects therein, all raw jiggle and scan data from SCUBA available in the JCMT archive were downloaded from the CADC in 2006 May. (Photometry and polarimetry data were ignored.) A full description of the instrumental characteristics of SCUBA was made by Holland et al. (1999MNRAS.303..659H). All maps are available at http://www3.cadc-ccda.hia-iha.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/community/scubalegacy/ This table was created by the HEASARC in December 2010 based on CDS catalog J/ApJS/175/277 files table2.dat and table3.dat. The impact of deep space radiation on cognitive performance: From biological sex to biomarkers to countermeasures (Elevated Plus Maze, Novel Object Recognition, Open Field, Radial Arm Water Maze, and Three Chamber Social Isolation/Interaction)
In the coming decade, astronauts will travel back to the moon in preparation for future Mars missions. Exposure to galactic cosmic radiation (GCR) is a major obstacle for deep space travel. Using multivariate principal components analysis, we found sex dimorphic responses in mice exposed to accelerated charged particles to simulate GCR (GCRsim); males displayed impaired spatial learning, whereas females did not. Mechanistically, these GCRsim induced learning impairments corresponded with chronic microglia activation and synaptic alterations in the hippocampus. Temporary microglia depletion shortly after GCRsim exposure mitigated GCRsim induced deficits measured months after the radiation exposure. Furthermore, blood monocyte levels measured early after GCRsim exposure were predictive of the late learning deficits and microglia activation measured in the male mice. Our findings (i) advance our understanding of charged particle induced cognitive challenges, (ii) provide evidence for early peripheral biomarkers for identifying late cognitive deficits, and (iii) offer potential therapeutic strategies for mitigating GCR induced cognitive loss. This study derives results from the behavior assays Elevated Plus Maze, Novel Object Recognition, Open Field, Radial Arm Water Maze, and Three Chamber Social Isolation/Interaction. These data are related to the Flow Cytometry data in OSD-776 (blood), OSD-777 (Microglia), and OSD-778 (Synapse).
RCW 38 Young Stellar Objects Catalog
This table contains some of the results from a study of the structure of the high-mass star-forming region RCW 38 and the spatial distribution of its young stellar population. Spitzer Infrared Array Camera (IRAC) photometry (3-8 micron) is combined with Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS) near-IR data to identify young stellar objects (YSOs) by IR-excess emission from their circumstellar material. Chandra X-ray data are used to identify class III pre-main-sequence stars lacking circumstellar material. The authors identify 624 YSOs: 23 class 0/I and 90 flat spectrum (FS) protostars, 437 class II stars, and 74 class III stars. They also identify 29 (27 new) O star candidates over the IRAC field. Seventy-two stars exhibit IR-variability, including 7 class 0/I and 12 flat spectrum YSOs. A further 177 tentative candidates are identified by their location in the IRAC [3.6] versus [3.6]-[5.8] color-magnitude diagram. The authors find strong evidence of subclustering in the region. Three subclusters were identified surrounding the central cluster, with massive and variable stars in each subcluster. The central region shows evidence of distinct spatial distributions of the protostars and pre-main-sequence stars. A previously detected IR cluster, DB2001_Obj36, has been established as a subcluster of RCW 38. This suggests that star formation in RCW 38 occurs over a more extended area than previously thought. The gas-to-dust ratio is examined using the X-ray derived hydrogen column density, NH and the K-band extinction, and found to be consistent with the diffuse interstellar medium, in contrast with Serpens and NGC 1333. The authors posit that the high photoionizing flux of massive stars in RCW 38 affects the agglomeration of the dust grains. This table contains the list of 624 young stellar objects (given in Tables 3 and 4 of the reference paper) found among the Spitzer sources in the field of RCW 38 using the two selection techniques described in Section 3 of the reference paper: (1) selection of stars with IR excesses in IR color-color diagrams, and (2) identification of X-ray luminous YSOs by comparing X-ray sources with IR detections. The latter technique was used to identify Type III YSOs lacking emission from a dusty disk. This table does NOT contain (i) the 177 candidate YSOs listed in Table 5 of the reference paper which were identified using the [3.6] versus [3.6] - [5.8] color-magnitude diagram, since contamination removal methods could not be utilized for these objects, (ii) the 24 candidate variable YSOs listed in Table 6 of the reference paper, nor (iii) 21 of the 29 candidate O-star cluster members which were listed in table 7 of the reference paper. This table was created by the HEASARC in January 2012 based on an electronic version of Tables 3 and 4 from the reference paper which were obtained from the ApJ web site.
