Radiotherapy mask
This plastic mask was worn by a patient having radiotherapy for throat cancer in 2018. Radiotherapy involves sending beams of high-energy radiation (normally X-rays or gamma rays) into the body. The radiation disrupts DNA in cells, preventing those cells from reproducing. The mask holds the patient's head and neck steady, ensuring that the beam can be targeted precisely at the cancerous tumour, avoiding healthy tissue. Search Strategies for the Generic Justification Evidence Synthesis: magnetic resonance guided radiotherapy
<p>The dataset includes the complete, reproducible search strategies for all bibliographic databases searched during this project. The search strategies were designed to answer the following research questions: </p> <p><strong>RQ1.</strong> In patients with cancer requiring radiotherapy, does the choice of image-guided modality (MRgRT versus other) result in a difference in clinical effectiveness?</p> <p><strong>RQ2. </strong>In patients with cancer requiring radiotherapy, does the choice of image-guided modality (MRgRT versus other) result in a difference in potential harms?</p> <p> </p>
Effect of radiotherapy on microhardness and surface morphology of pretreated primary teeth with silver diamine fluoride: an in vitro study
<p> Surface Microhardness (SMH) of the samples was tested by a Vickers microhardness testing machine (MITUTOYA, Japan) under a load of 50 grams for 10 seconds. The microhardness for each sample was assessed at five different sites within the sample, 300 µum <a href="#_msocom_4">]</a> apart from each other and their mean was considered as the final microhardness for that particular sample. Two representative samples for from each group that is 2 samples from SDF group and 2 samples from control group were prepared to be evaluated using carry out SEM (JEOL JSM-6380A). The samples were scanned at power of 100X, 500X and 1000X magnification and photomicrographs were taken to observe the structural changes in the enamel.</p> <p> </p>
