The BioSuOr project (Biodiversity and connectivity of benthic communities in organic substrates in the deep southwest Atlantic) sites were named according to the Brazilian state next to deployment (ES, Espírito Santo; RJ, Rio de Janeiro; and SP, São Paulo) and the approximate depths (1500 and 3300 m).
