Translation and validation of the Body-Mind-Spirit Wellness Behavior and Characteristic Inventory in the Greek language

This investigation was guided by Hettler's 1979 Six Dimensions of Wellness Model. Dimensions of physical, emotional, intellectual, occupational, social, and spiritual wellness were identified. The Body-Mind-Spirit Wellness Behavior and Characteristic Inventory was used to assess this (BMS-WBCI). The purpose of this study was to further validate the BMS-WBCI by reporting reliability as the scale's internal consistency when used to measure wellness in a sample of aged Greek people. a descriptive cross-sectional design was used for the sample collection. A random sample (n =520) from the Greek general population participated voluntarily and anonymously in the study including 28,8% males and 71,2% females. Their mean age of the sample was 39.86 years (SD = 10.5), ranging from 16 to 75 years .The BMS-WBCI consists of 44 items which are divided into three subscales (Hey, Calderon, & Carroll, 2006). The first subscale is labeled “body” and consists of nine items (items 1 – 9) relating to risk behaviors including physical fitness, personal safety and dietary intake, covering the physical domain of wellness. The second subscale is labeled “mind” and consists of 20 items (items 10 – 29) representing the intellectual, social, emotional, and occupational domains of wellness. Finally, the third subscale is labeled “spirit” and consists of 15 items (items 30 – 44) covering the spiritual, emotional, and occupational domains of wellness. Each of the 44 items asks the participant to respond on a 3-point Likert scale where 1 indicates “rare/seldom,” 2 “occasionally/sometimes,” and 3 “often/always.” Possible scores for the entire scale range from a minimum of 44 to a maximum of 132. Higher scores designate a higher level of participation in positive health behaviors and agreement with characteristics that contribute to overall well-being.

Adverse childhood events and clinical manifestation of anxiety symptoms in Greek adolescents during COVID-19 pandemic

Background: Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are linked to the development of Anxiety in Adolescence. According to recent studies, the pandemic COVID-19 is a novel ACE that has increased Anxiety among adolescents. This study aims to investigate the relationship between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and COVID-19 in the development of Anxiety in Adolescence. Methods: A cross-sectional study with a community sample of 248 boys and girls aged 12 to 15 years (Mean: 13.50 years) from five High Schools in Eastern Attica were conducted. A total of four questionnaires were used: 1) Demographic Questionnaire, 2) State-Trait-Anxiety-Inventory for Children – STAIC, 3) Adverse Childhood Experiences Scale, and 4) COVID-19 Impact Scale. Results: The results demonstrated a strong correlation between the total number of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and Anxiety (Trait and State) in adolescence (Trait Anxiety: rho=.37, p0.001; State Anxiety: rho=.29, p0.001). Girls scored substantially higher on Trait Anxiety (U = 4353, p 0.001) and State Anxiety (U = 5822.5, p = 0.014) than boys. Girls also demonstrated more significant Anxiety than boys. The number of adverse childhood experiences was found to be significantly related to the impact of COVID-19 (=0.025, p 0.001). Conclusions: The present study's findings can be used to design and implement future effective, preventive, and therapeutic programs for adolescents with anxiety symptoms who were exposed to a variety of Adverse Childhood Experiences and the COVID-19 pandemic during their adolescence.

Greek Drinking Vessels

An imaginary synthesis of drinking vessels found in various contexts and dating from the Mycenaean to the Classical period: -The Mycenaean stemmed bowl comes from the site of [Ialysus](https://pleiades.stoa.org/places/589815/?searchterm=Ialysus*) in Rhodes. -The small skyphos cup was found in the classical cemetery of [Kranioi](http://pleiades.stoa.org/places/530962/?searchterm=Kranioi) in Cephallonia. -The Black-figured attic skyphos is from inknown context exhibited in the [Museo Archeologico di Aidone](http://www.regione.sicilia.it/beniculturali/deadimorgantina/museoaidone.html) in Italy. https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/mini-skyphos-cup-be34bb6cc10b47bdadaf1413204421bd https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/a-stemmed-bowl-de8ceaddccb74c279368c508ba1fecaf https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/attic-skyphos-930dcf46606a406285244be7a4c6e496 Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

GREEK JAR

https://www.metmuseum.org/toah/works-of-art/63.11.6/ Terracotta amphora (jar) Period: Archaic Date: ca. 530 B.C. Culture: Greek, Attic Medium: Terracotta; red-figure/bilingual Dimensions: H. 22 5/8 in. (57.5 cm) Classification: Vases Description The introduction of the red-figure technique is attributed to the workshop of Andokides. While we think of red-figure mainly in terms of drawing, it differs from black-figure also in the very different apportionment of glazed and unglazed surfaces on a vase. The preparation of these surfaces was probably the responsibility of the potter, and for this reason, the new technique is associated with a potter rather than a painter. On some works combining red-figure and black-figure, a single painter seems to have done both; here, however, two different artists are likely. The scene on the obverse depicts the hero Herakles with his club and the god Apollo with bow and arrows, struggling over the Delphic tripod, which Herakles sought to carry off.
