Nearness sensing and interest traces
<p>performed with psychology students, in two different institutions, where the purpose was to study interest influence in psychological proximity. NSense has been installed in Android smartphones carried by a population of 50 students of the two different universities, numbered User1 to User50. The students carried NSense around during their daily routines, for 2 days: 05.04.2017-06.04.2017. The readings obtained show a total of 15 students out of the original universe of 50. The traces collected comprise the following fields: - date: DD/MM HH:mm - own_device_name: unique identifier of the device, Userx - connected_device_name: peer observed via Wi-Fi Direct (range of 0 to 100 meters) at date. - latitude, longitude: GPS coordinates of the device - distance: relative distance computed in meters via Wi-Fi Direct. - sound: discrete value for the surrounding sound activity: ALERT, NORMAL, QUIET - physical activity: discrete value for the type of activity (MOVING or STATIONARY) - tct: total contact time. Starts counting after 1 day of use. Corresponds to the sum of contact duration between i and j on a time window of duration h. - social_strength_minute: level of social interaction derived from our work NSense: A People-centric, non-intrusive Opportunistic Sensing Tool for Contextualizing Social Interaction, IEEE Healthcom2016.Social strength of node i towards node j, in a specific hourly sample h, for day d. Node i computes the social strength towards j by adding the different weighted ADs. t has been set for 24 hours - si: Social interaction of node i towards j, computed at instant t - p: propinquity: measures the probability of social interaction occurring over time. - ema_cd. Exponential moving average of the total contact duration between nodes i and j - additional columns: types of interests defined in NSense.</p>

<p>PDF previews of interesting spectra found by Active Deep Learning in LAMOST DR2 spectra survey. These are referred to in an article Škoda,Podsztavek&Tvrdík "Active deep learning method for the discovery of objects of interest in large spectroscopic surveys" submitted to Astronomy and Astrophysics. Previews show both the whole LAMOST spectrum created from original FITS file and its zoomed part around Halpha line used for machine learning.</p>

<p>This dataset contains the underling raw data of IAM COMPACT "Study 6 - Interest rates".</p> <p>Models used to assess decarbonisation pathways typically assume a uniform cost of capital; such assumption, however, does not do justice to real-world conditions and may therefore lead to inaccurate policy recommendations. The study aims to explore how non-uniform weighted average cost of capital (WACC), i.e., the discount rate a company uses to estimate its net present value, could influence global decarbonisation pathways. </p> <p>The study builds on empirically calibrated WACC values by region and technology in global IAMs and expands the modelling analysis by exploring stakeholder-driven pathways of de-risking clean energy technologies and risking fossil fuels. As one of the largest uncertainties lies in the way WACC values are expected to evolve over time, the empirical estimates of baseline WACC values are combined with an expert-based approach to produce forward-looking scenarios of evolving WACCs over time. The study also attempts to incorporate a corrective justice dimension in its narratives, by assessing the impacts of risk underwriting for low-carbon investments through taxing corporate windfall profits for 2022 and distributing the revenue as subsidies towards high-risk regions.</p> <p>Results of the study have been documented in D5.6 - Behaviour, social and disruptive innovation (DOI <a href="../doi/10.5281/zenodo.12751959">10.5281/zenodo.12751959</a>)</p>

Recommendations for molecules of interest in the Taurus Molecular Cloud-1
<p>This dataset contains 1510 molecules of interest to the chemical inventory of TMC-1, recommended based on grounds of chemical similarity. These molecules were identified as part of work currently under review:</p> <p>Lee et al., "Machine Learning of Interstellar Chemical Inventories" (2021)</p> <p>Structures were generated from their SMILES strings using OpenBabel and rdkit, and geometry optimization carried out using the geomeTRIC program:</p> <p><br> Wang, L.‑P.; Song, C.C. (2016), J. Chem, Phys. 144, 214108. http://dx.doi.org/10.1063/1.4952956</p> <p><br> Electronic structure calculations were performed using psi4, with both geometry optimization and dipole moments calculated at at the 𝜔B97X‑D/6‑31+G(d) level of theory. Equilibrium dipole moments<br> and rotational constants are reported in unsigned debye and MHz respectively; for the latter, we provide effective scaled parameters as well that empirically correct for vibration‑rotation interactions. Please refer to “Lee, K. L. K. and McCarthy, M. 2020, J Phys Chem A, 5, 898” for information regarding their uncertainties. For molecules where SCF/geometry optimizations failed to converge, we provide their dipole moments based on the molecular mechanics structures. These molecules will be indicated by “Is DFT optimized?: False”.</p> <p><br> The predicted column densities and uncertainties are given with a simple Gaussian Process with rational quadratic and white noise kernels. Simply put, the predicted column densities of unseen molecules are given as functions of distance in chemical space that decays naturally to zero for infinite distance from other data points. The reader is encouraged to look at the distances between recommendations and TMC‑1 molecules to develop an intuition for how the predicted column density behaves roughly with distance, and interpret them with the uncertainties accordingly: as a guide but not to rule out molecules specifically. Molecules with particularly large uncertainties are<br> likely to be impactful in constraining the chemistry of the source, even if we provide just an upper limit.</p> <p><br> Finally, there is no real ordering of which the molecules are given. This is quasi‑random, although there are pockets of similar molecules based on how similar the TMC‑1 molecules are between searches.</p> <p> </p> <p>The included tarball contains the OpenBabel generated XYZ coordinates for each recommended species. This <a href="https://github.com/laserkelvin/umda">github repository</a> contains the notebooks and code used to generate this data.</p>

Volume of Interest: Exploring New Data Types in Urban Functional Zones
<p>随着全球城镇化的发展,实现城市功能区的精细化识别已成为一项挑战。基于POI数据的传统方法不足以识别不同区域的功能特征。以往研究中基本单位设置不精确、POI重分类标准模糊、功能区定义模糊等局限性,成为获得准确识别结果的重大障碍。为了解决这些问题,本研究提出了一种将POI数据扩展到三维空间并生成VOI(感兴趣体积)数据的方法。以香港一个小区域为例,采用一系列指标量化功能特征,然后将识别结果与基于POI的方法进行比较。最终鉴定总体准确率和kappa系数分别达到85.67%和0.7619,表明基于VOI的方法与实际情况基本吻合。分析表明,VOI数据包含更丰富、更全面的城市空间信息,能够更好地反映城市内不同区域之间的联系和影响。本研究可为城市功能区深入研究提供参考案例。</p>
