Wmid-c2fb5e - Medieval buckle or hinge

An incomplete repaired sheet copper alloy metal hinge or possible buckle plate of probable Medieval dating (c. AD 1200 to AD 1500). The hinge has been made from one piece of sheet copper alloy metal folded over and three rectangular loops cut out. The base is rectangular, with an incomplete circular rivet hole present on the outer edge. The hinge has been repaired twice. Once when the left hand loop broke, and another sheet of copper alloy metal was inserted inside the hinge with a new loop and riveted in place. The rivet is now missing. The second repair is a reenforcement plate on the underneath of the right hand loop. This still has a copper alloy rivet holding it in place, with that rivet hole being placed above the original hole. The old hole has an internal diameter of 3.0 mm. No decoration is present on either side. Medieval Water Crane

A simple human Treadmill powered Medieval Water Crane model I made for Foundation City-Builder. A treadwheel, or treadmill, is a form of engine typically powered by humans. Uses of treadwheels included raising water, to power cranes, or grinding grain. It was primarily used during the Roman period and the Middle Ages in the building of castles and cathedrals. The often heavy charge is lifted as the individual inside the treadwheel crane walks. The specific model has been inspired by a number of images including the following: http://www.vicnewey.co.uk/mills/mills_011.htm<br> https://www.handshouse.org/czech-crane You can find the full mod with the Lua code used for animating it on mod.io: https://foundation.mod.io/water-crane Note, the model has been originally released on Github under a GPL 3.0 Licence, that licence still applies to any downloads from sketchfab and a copy can be found here: https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.en.html Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Wmid-d46a92 - Post Medieval dress hook

An incomplete copper alloy dress hook, of Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1700). This is the hook section of such fasteners, with its rectangular blunt hook truncated. The central area of the plate has a raised foliate design with a central quartered berry and four leaves in cross formation with four small circular berries in the angles. This design is within a broadly lozengiform line border formed of four lines with scrolled ends; at the middle corners these form a pair of projecting rounded knops at either side. There are two pierced lobes flanking the start of the hook, one either side of a billeted transverse band. At the opposite end to the hook is a third pierced lobe with projecting scrolled terminals to either side, giving a fleur-de-lis terminal. Medieval mikveh - Jewish Museum London

"This mikveh (Jewish ritual bath) dates from around the mid-13th century. A medieval Jewish community existed in England from 1066 until its expulsion in 1290.
