Marcell Experimental Forest seasonal soil moisture, 1966 - ongoing
This data publication contains available soil water measured three times a year (1966 - ongoing) at the Marcell Experimental Forest (MEF) in Balsam Township, Itasca County, Minnesota. The data came from six peatland / upland forest watersheds instrumented for long-term hydrological and biogeochemical research. The Marcell Experimental Forest in Itasca County, Minnesota is operated and maintained by the USDA Forest Service, Northern Research Station, and was formally established in 1962 to study the ecology and hydrology of peatlands.
Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest: Vapor Pressure Measurements, 1966 - ongoing
Relative humidity has been measured within the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest since 1956. Prior to 1981, relative humidity was measured at seven hygrothermographs within the forest. Minimum relative humidity at the time of maximum daily temperature was converted to vapor pressure. Digital data from the hygrothermograph charts are only available for three short periods prior to 1981: January 1966 to April 1966; June 1967 to Sept. 1967 and; May 1971 to April 1973. Beginning in 1981, a humidity sensor has operated as part of the automatic weather station at Headquarters. After installation of the digital sensor in 1981, mean daily air temperature and mean daily relative humidity were used in vapor pressure calculations. These data were gathered at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest in Woodstock, NH, which is operated and maintained by the USDA Forest Service, Northern Research Station.

CALCOFI fish larvae at 66 standard stations, 1966 - ongoing
The fish larvae (ichthyoplankton) survey is conducted through the California Cooperative Fisheries Investigations program (CALCOFI, http://www.calcofi.org/). These data are a time series of fish larvae counts (or density, as number per 10 square meter of ocean surface) collected in the area of the California Current between San Diego and Avila Beach, California. Original data were filtered to facilitate consistent comparisons over time and space. The original CalCOFI fish larvae count data is available from the CoastWatch West Coast Regional Node (WCRN) at NOAA’s Pacific Fisheries Environmental Laboratory, http://coastwatch.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap/tabledap/index.html. The dataset presented here is an aggregation of 31 data files, originally divided alphabetically by taxon (named “CalCOFI Larvae Counts, Scientific Names * to *”). The data were filtered to include only the 66 core stations with a maximum of 1 cruise per season. These 66 core stations have been most frequently sampled in the past and sampling is ongoing. CalCOFI sampling began in 1949. However, the dataset presented here begins in 1966 to include only samples that were analyzed with techniques that apply the most current and accurate identification of larvae to the species level. As the backlog of samples (i.e., before 1966) is re-examined, this dataset will be augmented with that additional, earlier data.

ERA5-Land selected indicators daily aggregates for Africa, 1966
<p>This deposit contains NetCDF files with daily aggregates from Copernicus Era5-Land for eight selected indicators, covering Africa for 1966.</p> <p>Each file represents one indicator aggregation for one month of the year. Inside each NetCDF file, the layers contain the daily aggregates.</p> <p>For 2m dewpoint pressure, 10m u-component of wind, 10m v-component of wind, surface pressure, the mean function was used for aggregation. For total precipitation, the sum function was used for aggregation. For 2m temperature, the functions maximum, mean, and minimum were used for aggregation.</p>
